Spurs have won 14 trophies in the past 70 years, without the need to be financially doped either. So your post was idiotic to say the least.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tell us in what way Spurs are relevant?
When you last when the title it was on black and white telly. When you last won the FA cup DVD’s hadn’t even been invented, and the Internet was in its infancy. The last time you won the EC/CL.........or maybe a UEFA Cup/EL?
But it’s ok, you won a league cup 123 years ago

----------------------------------------------------------------------
have spurs not won the 6th most trophies than any other english team? quite some feat considering the very dry last 30 years. City only have 1 more and Chelsea 5 more and when you see the 10-20 years those teams respectively have had it shows that spurs have been very relevant throughout history.
and even now theyre always in the conversation now and the infrastructure built has really elevated the club to an elite level whether you want to wum or not.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure we can even count Chelsea and City, both financially doped, and would be nowhere near Spurs for trophies but for the money. I never include them in trophies won these days. I would still put Spurs in the top four or five without those two.
I don't think there's any question Kane will still be able to do what he does up to his mid-30's. 30 and over is now younger than it used to be in football and strikers can maintain their levels better. That's why we're seeing so many top players do it beyond 30, and not just in this sport either.
Kane wasn't overplayed as a youngster, doesn't have any pace to lose anyway, and is a true professional that always keeps himself fit and healthy. No chance of a Rooney-type burn out anytime soon.

I can't see Kane playing at a top level into mid-thirties at all. Those players that do, who are still rare in the game, are fitness fanatics who keep themselves in top shape and rarely get injured. Kane has had a host of injuries throughout his career.

Throughout his career? You make him sound like Sturridge.
He's picked up a few ankle injuries in recent years but still played a good number of games. Already played 31 this season and expected to play the rest.
Also, I'm pretty sure Messi and others have had injuries before.

Appearances of some of the world`s best players over a seven year period
Messi 350
Ronaldo 321
Kane 306
Salah 281
Aguero 265
Neymar 256
Mbappe 193 (six seasons)
Kane is the only player of this group of elite players other than the two freaks Messi and Ronaldo to have played over 300 club matches over the past seven seasons. So the nonsense that he is always injured is complete and utter nonsense.

They aren't going to sell him otherwise I don't think
Basically Spurs without Kane are a mid-table side if they put some effort in
Yeah I reckon he'd have to ask to leave for it to happen.
I think it's more likely Son goes really.
If Kane goes for big money we can rebuild and improve the squad, Liverpool thrived when they sold Countinho and reinvested the money in a couple of top class additions.
I don't understand how any of us armchair fans can pronounce on player valuations when we don't really know how the pandemic has impacted the footballing economy. Every club has seen a massive squeeze on revenue, and while there's some prospect of fans coming back into stadiums, there are plenty of risk areas that suggest revenues will be lower over the next five years than they were. We're seeing shirt sponsorship deals that are, for the first time, a bit lower in value than the previous deal. There's a lot of turmoil in the general global economy which affects advertising revenues, merchandising, and could impact ultimately on TV deals. Many of the biggest clubs, who tend to generate the biggest transfers and create the trickle down of transfer fee inflation, are in serious financial trouble. It seems reasonable to conclude that the combined effect is deflationary pressure on transfer fees and salaries. E.g. Dortmund are supposedly valuing Sancho at tens of millions below their 2020 asking price. But what we don't know is the extent of that deflation, so it's silly to stick prices on any player.
It's pure conjecture, but I suspect that the overall result will be conservatism in the marketplace. Buyers will be very cautious about overspending. Sellers will be loathe to let players go significantly more cheaply than a year or two ago. It could well be that Spurs would need £150 million to offset the loss of Kane, but at the same time United couldn't afford to spend more than £60 million to buy an elite striker, and the end result is that there's no deal to be done.

Liverpool had some other good players still, Klopp, and no Levy.
You'd be left with Son on his own, managed by Southgate who'd probably drop Son anyway to get another right back in.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can't see Kane playing at a top level into mid-thirties at all. Those players that do, who are still rare in the game, are fitness fanatics who keep themselves in top shape and rarely get injured. Kane has had a host of injuries throughout his career.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Throughout his career?

Nah. If Kane asks to leave (which would save Spurs money normally due to player payments) then I can't see it being more than £100m, maybe some add ons and the like.
