Phillips excellent game , I’d put him up against the the mancs no problem but reckon we will be handed the 3 points there’s another demo apparently could get ugly again
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Phillips was far from excellent. Not to say he hasn't had excellent games, considering his level but not tonight. Williams decent but if Kabak isn't back, then I would be considering Fabinho or even the young French lad who looked a beast in pre season.

Having said that, we need to be focusing more on attack and getting the win.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I thought he had a very good game tonight.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yup. What do people want bar blocking everything and winning every header ffs.

Reece has no pace and therefore just wont make it under klopp. I like the kid and its unfair to judge him when he's been thrown in to play way b4 he's really ready.

But everyone can see he's just not going to make it at Liverpool..he physically cant get fast enough to be left 1 on 1 which is what klopp likes to do

I agree GB.

Rhys is slower than an arthritic sloth, which for me means he will struggle to make a positive impact at the top level.

Its all or nothing at old trafford. Win and we crank the pressure right up on Leicester who have 3 stinking games to finish the season. Lose or draw though and its all over.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think draw still be ok. I cant see Leicester getting more than 1 point out of their last 3 games tbh.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think your biggest problem is West ham. They are one point ahead of you and also have an easy run in

posted on 9/5/21

We've taken 14 points from the last 18 available, so we have a chance if we can get something from the United game.
West Ham will drop more points without a doubt.

At least now i know how it feels to be a spurs fan every season for past 20 years or so

We need to win all of our remaining games. We’re not only hoping the finish ahead of Leicester, who have a tough run in. We’re also going to have to finish about West Ham, who are in form, and have an easy run in.

Probably not getting caught under passes, chasing players out wide leaving holes in the middle getting done for pace with poor positioning and getting a bloody shot on target from corners from one of the two great chances that come right to your head.

He's had better games.

The West Ham result means United have qualified now, so Ole could well rest everyone agains Leicester on Tuesday, ready for you guys on Thu

posted on 9/5/21

Surely he wont want to rest players knowing a defeat hands city the league?

We all know its citys but im sure he will want city to win it, rather than it coming from a united slip.

He’s already said he’ll have to rotate because the schedule means we’ll have three games in five days.

posted on 9/5/21

Yes rotate fair enough. But rest everyone as was stated in the comment i replied to?

posted on 9/5/21

Wouldn’t surprise me if we make eight or nine changes. Ole already said it’s not his problem if it causes problems for teams chasing the top four.

posted on 10/5/21

I expect him to make at least 8 changes to the team that played today to what will face Leicester. Top 4 is in.bag for them. They not winning the title and will love to get us not reach top 4.

posted on 10/5/21

They still have to play the delay city game out of ego.

Irrespective of what they do today they have about 20 hours plus a nights sleep less preparation and not that many "real" options. I am quite happy to have the little bit extra preparation time and that will do. Wanting them to implode is nice and all that but we have to do the job ourselves.

Utd will rotate for sure as the Europa final is the goal. having a tired out team for villareal would be a disaster. However, its still a game every 2 days and still no training time, all going to be on the bench etc etc etc. I will take having Sunday to Wednesday to try prepare the team for a big game.

I would expect them to bench fernandes and stick him on tuesday night for example

They have to rotate but if they fold v leicester the title is city's and nobody will want that so I expect a relatively strong team.

example is maguire out = lindeloff in.

If they pick 11 kids then they break the premier league rule plau they will be handing the title off.

It'll be a weak team tomorrow and I reckon Leicester will beat them, even if they make changes too. Then their strongest team will beat us. Any slim hopes of top 4 will be over before this week is out.

Hope so. I'd play the under 19s against Leicester if it was up to me.

People are so negative.

The facts are utd preparation o matter what side is played is disrupted and they have one less day between weekend games and thursday as well.

If lfc cant use that to their advantage they dont deserve to win it anyway.

posted on 10/5/21

We won’t play 11 kids, but there’s a good a chance that we play a second string 11. Delaying City’s title doesn’t really matter. Ole’s duty of care is to his own players, if that means changing the entire team then he will.
