Sounds like a great idea but, like you say, it would take a bit of persuading all round.
In addition to that, getting the people who pull the strings of Scottish football to come to an agreement that will benefit all, could be the biggest stumbling block to any such project.
Their track record at doing so is few miles short of perfect.

I think now Walter has left rundown Ibrox it will help the Scottish game, hopefully fans will come back to the game now his negative, boring tactics are a thing of the past.
Wee Fat Ally seems to prefer attacking football, which can only be good for the game.
"Whittaker....".....your prejudiced and mean-spirited comments are exactly the reason sound ideas for helping Scottsh football tend to fizzle and die.
Giving it some thought it could work with other companies too!!
Wee useless fact for you but Scotland is the only country where Coca Cola is not the top selling soft drink. So maybe Irn Bru could be persuaded to donate 3p from each can sold?? Something along those lines anyway.
Just thought it was a clever idea.....and your right whittaker_blah blah.....Scottish football's decline is entirely down to one of the best managers in recent history having to adapt to tough financial times and playing to his small squad's strengths!!
Tell you what though....negative tactics, seem to go pretty well with winning trophies!! Just saying!!
The last two comments are reason enough to wonder why you should bother helping Scottish football.
Well said Pacific....summed up perfectly!!

Yes cause the Scottish government are hanging on my every word.....
Surprised at Irn-Bru outselling Coca-Cola to be honest, hardly see anyone with a can of Bru in my works canteen, but plenty of coke cans about.
Agree entirely Dos......football is by far and away the most popular sport in Scotland. And probably in the worst state of any other sport right now. So any scheme should be devoted entirely to our not so beautiful game!!
Got that fact from one of those auld geezers at work that seemed to be an expert on everything so may not be entirely true anymore Bones....
Might go back and stick a disclaimer on that comment
Aye i've heard it too, just not sure about it based upon the amount of coke people get thru. Someone must be tanning a heap of bru somewhere
Scotland should drop English at schools.
Teach kids in some Latin language like Portuguese, Spanish or French. Football skills come more naturally when you grow up speaking those languages.
