Regarding the Israeli population, if anyone sees wrong being done, it’s their moral obligation to physically stop it if they can, if they can’t they should object verbally, if they can’t do that , they should think that it is wrong.

Israelis don’t do any of this
Hence they are complicit.

It’s easy to say this whilst sat in your ivory tower.

Wonder why the British and US couldn’t have placed Israeli in their own lands rather then stealing Palestine... imagine helping stealing a land then keeping quiet and backing them to the teeth to killing children and homeowners

Why are 90% of these "Middle East experts" on TV still old or middle aged white men?

This guy is one of the most disgusting people I’ve seen posting here and that is some achievement.

I don’t think Cornwall or Texas has quite the same significance to the Jews as a homeland as Palestine, to be fair.

Yep automatic - many isrealis are open to doing these evil things. You have even children saying Palestinians should be slaves. They see themselves above all humans and people who can do what they want.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sounds sinister.

Have you got empirical evidence to back this stereotype up?

I see the government are as tone deaf as ever.

Jenrick talking about the IHRA definition of anti semitism and talking about setting up a group to tackle breaches of it.

The definition which prevents valid criticism of Israel's actions
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s funny, I’ve never known the Tories to be remotely concerned about any other forms of racism.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What is wrong with that definition?

People tried to say hatred of Jews was not a problem under Corbyn in far left labour and were found to be wrong....by EHCR.

People though Corbyn supporting Hamas and pira, was ok and would not lose votes, and were wrong.

People thought Corbyn liking an anti-jewish, racist mural in east London was ok, but were wrong, and some even deny the mural was a hateful trope.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Turns out Corbyn was right.

About everything.

There were other issues to be honest, but I'd say alienating the press by being pro leveson 2 so early in his leadership didn't help, nor alienating the Jewish core of MPs by being pro "Two state solution" and showing support for the plight of Palestine.

Every Labour MP who left for CUK were involved in the 'Friends of Israel" group within labour. Luciana Berger the ringleader was a he Director of FOI, And every member receives some funding from the state.

Labour actually recently outsourced their anti-Semitism policy to the group under starmer, and referring to what is happening there as "Apartheid" is now considered a racially motivated slur

“ referring to what is happening there as "Apartheid" is now considered a racially motivated slur”

When that’s exactly what it is, apartheid of Palestinians. I know Labour feel they need to tread carefully but I find it astonishing Israel has effectively got our gov in its pocket and has no successfully silenced the democratic opposition over here to.

As shameful as it is they’ve played a blinder there.

I believe one quarter of MPs in the house are in Friends of Israel groups.

Currently 1/4 of labour MPS are in the labour group, and as of 2009 80% of conservative MPs were in the CFI.

That may be changing as the conservatives gain more Muslim voters, but just being in the Lobbying group attracts funding.

It becomes easy to see why Patel was never punished for breaking the Ministerial code by attempting to divert foreign aid in to the IDF.

At least on quarter of MPs *

Of course, it will be considered anti Semitic by some to acknowledge the leverage they have exerted over our politicians by paying them to be in pro Israel lobbying groups.

They’ve effectively got us politically snookered. Lobby gov MP’s to gain influence. Silence the opposition party by using the term anti Semitic any time criticism is levelled.

Democracy eh.

Tbh it's the same with the Middle Eastern Oil states

The Saudis contribute to the Conservative party, and there is a growing Lobby for them too, it's an amazingly effective way to prevent action against you.

Foreign money shouldn't be in our politics.

And to a certain extent Russian money, not necessarily politically, but through buying property in lucrative areas and financial services I suppose.

Yeah, we saw that in full effect from our media against Corbyn and again now with the coverage of the massacre happening in Palestine.
