Debt In the Water

Just had a quick read and there's an obvious "error" in it.

The club don't own Pride Park, so there can't be a debt of £17.5m secured against it in the clubs name.

There may well be in Mels other company's books and if he's looking to sell both together, then it's relevant.

Sadly, I think he's a poor businessman who got lucky to get rich but isn't capable of running a real business.

Another error:

Pink Coconut is no more - they're redeveloping the whole Becket Well area. Also, I would go for trying at the Racecourse (back to our original roots) or possibly Alvaston Park but not when the Park Run is on because parking gets a bit difficult.

Not an error: he suggests using “old Pink Cocunut DJs”. I don’t think he is implying it’s still open. Very harsh criticism.

We could share Mickleover's ground, I'm sure Don Amott would let us.

I meant what part of Tiffany, Scouse. But if you have to explain a joke, it isn't really a joke. Ah well.

Are we still alive? I wonder if this is how pets feel when they go to the Vet, for the very last time.

Q hates Derby

Only Championship clubs with parachute payments will not be in financial trouble now. Another example of the inherent unfairness of the Premier League. Then the hypocrites had the gall to complain about the European Super League.

I think its easy to swept along with the media how it is these days
Whether its Covid, Brexit or anything really the UK press will take the worst case scenario and report on that, I now virtually ignore any media outlet that starts with could happen
I still don't see how Derby can be harshly dealt with when the EFL initially agreed how we valued our players, any points deduction will be appealed and they know this and cant see how they would want this in the open even more than it is

Slap on the wrist and a fine most likely outcome for me

Next season all high earners likely to be sold for not much most likely but with the high amount of free transfers available now and a couple of decent lower league signings we can still have a half decent season next year

I wouldn't despair just yet

Oh dear, oh dear, it’s been a tough few months in so many ways, and the effort of presenting a calm face to the world has not always been easy.
But most of us managed it. We’ve experienced worse after all.
I was hanging in, right until this morning, when I read that no less a person than Rod Liddle thinks that “Derby County deserve no sympathy”.
That’s it! How can I continue supporting this upstart team without the approval of ROD LIDDLE?!!!
Who is Rod Liddle? You might well ask. His career has been so impressive that he just whooshed past most of us

Check his bio out on Wikipedia, he was doing OK until the personal section and then promptly abdicated all rights to offering moral judgements. As has been said, we’ve been in worse holes

Rod Liddle ......who said that he couldn't become a teacher because he would be tempted to have under age 5ex with pupils.

You could swap his bio for a bloke in a much more prominent position in the country, (who also knows nowt).

Rod Liddle the Millwall fan.

I see Crystal Palace have got several players out of contract according to the BBC. Scott Dann is one of them and at the age of 34 could do a job for us as captain next season.

Which are these high earners which we can sell? We'll be lucky to give them away.

Rod Liddle, ooh I'm working class made good but never left my roots, my ar$e. A fascist writing for a tory rag.

Saw Scott Carson turned out for the Premier League champions at the weekend. Hopefully City will take a few more of our high earners. Pep drops Sterling for Waghorn, headline you will never read.

We wont have a recognised central defender next season, I remember when we had them crawling out of the woodwork. No goal scorer either. We would probably have been better off being relegated. At least some of our academy players would not be out of their depth and some might make the leap from U23s to grown ups football.
