Tim Buckley is in the 27 club, too, Jeff's dad. I'm friends with Tim Buckley's guitarist, Lee Underwood, who also wrote his biography. Tim had an interesting life too, reinventing folk music through mixing it with (variously) rock, jazz, avant garde and funk (!!).

His father Tim Buckley died at a similar age. They barely knew each other. Eerily similar voices.
As to the OP, I have to say the older I get, the less glamorous I find the idea of overdosing in my 20s and dying in a pool of bodily fluids.
Easy choice for Jim Morrison.
Though with Kurt you could live those last moments and find out if you did it yourself or not...

Same goes for Jimmy, there's quite a bit of mystery about the circumstances if his death too.
the Pen 15 club is the best. To join you just have to write Pen 15 on your forehead and walk around with it there for the day.
Yeah why is she even listed

Nirvana was my favourite band growing up in the states in the 90’s however Kurt had heroin issues.
Wouldn’t fancy living that.

Not to mention agonising stomach pains that baffled every doctor he saw.
I'd probably choose Jeff Buckley, just to be responsible for such transcendental music as a few of the songs on Grace.

She was on the list I used to compile it, and kept her in to see who’d notice
