Yeah me too, but I've now been married so many times immigration are beginning to suspect something funny is going on...

I'm almost as long. 6 days difference. Decided on here over Not606, partly because of the format and partly because most of the people I interacted with the most on the old BBC 606 came here too.

I'm surprised it's still running, to be honest. I figured either Admin would get bored of it or the BBC would kick up a fuss and claim copyright over it by now.

I'm also the last remaining veteran of the old 606 Cup tournaments from the Leicester board. I wonder whether any of the Leeds or Spurs fans still on here played in them?

Did you meet them and they did not look anything like the photo?

PS - 8th of June 2011 for me joining. I'll always be grateful for this board popping-up. The format and contributors were worth keeping.

I'm 18 May 2001 so I'm with you there OP

The old BBC 606 was the ultimate time waster at work, so when it finished I was faced with the horrible decision of either joining some dodgy looking copy cat site or having to do some work.

Ten years later here I still am. I don't even really care that much about football any more but it's just a weird habit and still stops me having to work all day.

They all use the same stock photos anyway, so it's pot luck. Thankfully, not too many had beards, but there were quite a few ex shot-putters in the ranks.

I never had problems opening the pickle jars in my house...

Admin, who would get the keys to this place if you kicked the bucket? Would there be some sort of election or would it just become some kind of wild, unregulated Internet space which eventually gets taken over by the multiple personalities of RDD, Wahl and Culer?

Sorry to put a dampener on the anniversary but it's a serious matter which needs consideration.

The thing about this site is that you can't sell it to youngster. It's fine for us 30-50 year olds. Under 18s need more pictures.

I joined BBC 606 in 2006 as I started my career in corporate life (I have since moved to 5 different companies taking a rise each time).

I preferred JA606 to Not606 so decided to join, I would have been one of the first users but I used my work email and can't access my account

I use to be an active user but as my job has got harder I don't get as much time as I use to.

Joined the beeb one not long before it closed joined this site in may 2011 but initially couldn't access at work now been promoted so can't be seen/or have time as much anymore.

I joined this incarnation of JA606 on 18 May 2011 after the demise of BBC606. I was on the old BBC forum for a few years before that.

I also toyed with NOT606 which was absolutely shocking and TCIR's Sport Witness that very quickly ran out of posters.

I had a year out of here in 2016 as I got sick to the back teeth of arguing the toss with numbskulls like Robb.... but rejoined in 2017.
