This isn't unsurprising.

I suspect they will pay him a hefty sum to sit out and then face the winner. It makes business sense for Wilder to do so. In fact, he can get a fight under his belt and shake off any rust before he fights the big guns.

Lmao what a joke sport. No wonder the kids these days would prefer to see youtubers punch each other like reetards instead of this craap.

I doubt the people that follow these social media stars have any interest in actual combat sport. They would pay money to watch their favourite youtuber arm wrestle a chimpanzee.

Looks like team Fury need to resolve the issue with Wilder or AJ will fight Usyk.

What a mess pro boxing is. Who wants to see AJ vs Usyk ? I don't. Also not sure why Usyk gets a title shot ahead of Whyte. Doesn't seem to be fair. Guy's a blown up cruiser who's done little at HW. Not sure we'll ever see AJ fight another top two or three fighter in the division. Hasn't happened since the Wlad fight.

I want to see AJ get fully tested against the very very best in the division. Bored of seeing him in fights he's expected to win. What's little Usyk going to be able to do against the much bigger AJ? Nothing is what.

Nobody wants to see AJ vs Usyk or Fury vs Wilder 3. Let's just hope AJ and Fury can fight later this year.

Little Usyk? You do know he is 6 ft 3, which is around the same height as AJs last 3-4 opponents.

As for what can Usyk do, this is boxing and one punch can change everything and Usyk is the most skilled fighter AJ has fought, since Wlad.

I'd like to see AJ fight Fury or Wilder but he is the most active HW champion in the world and he has literally fought everyone else.

To be fair this appears to be Furys fault. Or his team more accurately.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His team look like clowns as does he, since he announced the AJ fight the day before the Wilder news came out

Compared to AJ he's little and we're not just talking height. Next to Chisora he looked small and AJ is bigger than Del Boy. Usyk is the same size as Bellew (another blown up cruiser).

As for Usyk's power that hasn't carried into the HW division. You only had to look at the Chisora fight to know that, Chisora was walking through his punches for much of the fight. I give Usyk less than 5% chance of being able to KO AJ. It will be an absolute non-event.

None of those guys are top two or three in the world though. Whyte has a case for being in the top three right now but that's because he's a much better and more experienced fighter than he was when he fought AJ five years ago. He wasn't top three back then.

Usyk is a very good technical fighter but that's about all he has going for him in the HW division against these monsters like AJ and Fury who have such a significant size and reach advantage. Not to mention power advantage.

Whyte got KO'd by a 40 year old so has gone down the pecking order. Plus he is already AJ's cast off.

Usyk will challenge AJ regardless. He is on the same path as Haye who got a quick world title shot after being undisputed cruiser.

Bottom line is that Fury played AJ and his team. He was fully aware that Wilder was still in the picture but falsely accepted the fight with AJ knowing it was going to be cancelled.

A KO that Whyte avenged with a convincing defeat and revenge KO. What's your point? AJ got beat up and KO'd by a short chubby Mexican. One defeat means little though, especially when that defeat is avenged.

AJ losing to Ruiz is hardly comparable to whyte losing to an over the hill Povetkin.

AJ has already beaten Whyte. He was offered a rematch but Whyte declined and went down the WBC route. This fight does not have much interest for me. Usyk is the much better fight.

You keep mentioning the top 3 but you are omitting the fact that AJ Fury Wilder are the top 3. Just because you are not top 3, doesn't mean you aren't good.

AJ has the best overall resume in HW boxing at the moment. He has consistently fought top fighters, this is a fact.
