It’s the 90’s here we come
I get the ‘no player is bigger than the club ‘ etc but this is Harry Kane.....he is not replaceable with any funds we get as the players we would need to replace him with won’t come to tottenham
But I can’t blame him and there will be no grudges from me unless he signs for United, Chelsea or Liverpool
They don’t guarantee trophies....they guarantee competing for them more than us but so what ....may as well stay at Tottenham
If it’s trophies he wants then please go to city or abroad
Pretty please .....
"I don’t give a flying f** how much money we get. He is irreplaceable"
I've commented more on the other article, but this is entirely true
Grealish and Haaland incoming.
Ironically Don, it will be Levy who decides if Kane goes or stays. This is pretty much Modric all over again but it seems we are year behind the news as Levy has some sort of gentleman's agreement with Harry to let him leave this summer.
Who will put up the cash?
I have to disagree about the bit where you say if Kane is sold it will set us back 10 years. We have coped well when he has been injured in the past.
I'd love to see the club fully back the team and show Harry our intent to push on and win things, but I can't see it.
For me, if Harry goes, there's a good chance I'll be done with the club. I've been slowly falling out of love with the club for years now for many reasons, as well as the slow decline of top flight football in general thanks to pointless rule changes and unnecessary technology.
I know it's melodramatic and maybe I'll backtrack, but right now that's how I'm feeling.

Guys do not expect a big investment in the team. Even if we manage to secure a Ropey league place at best, I reckon our net spend will around the £40m mark with further incomings being funded by outgoings.

I don't think it's ever as bad as it's made out in these situations Don. We were even more reliant on Bale the last time he was here than we are with Kane now, and we sold him for big money and wasted a lot of it, yet still emerged to become a better team.
Not that it wouldn't be a blow to lose Kane and I'd want to keep him obviously, I just find there's often a lot of hyperbole thrown round about how bad it will get if we lose him, and it never usually gets that bad.
Congrats on the baby by the way.

You were a worse team without Bale if I remember correctly and AVB got sacked for it. You were just lucky to have signed an elite manager for the rebuild. Maybe you’ll find another one, who knows. I would still expect Spurs to me in the mix for European places next season even without Kane though
Kane will sign a new contract at Spurs. This is basically a money grab so he can earn the same amount as players like Auba, DDG etc. Even Pogba is looking at 400k a week in his new deal.

When we had better players and a better manager. Did you see the second half vs Liverpool, followed by the Chelsea and Brighton games this season when he was missing? Utter sheite is an understatement. The majority of this squad is very average IMO, and Kane is an elite level player that has been carrying them. I agree entirely, lose him and we are facked. Or, more facked than we already are.
We don’t even have a manager, so to lose our best player at the same time and then start a full squad rebuild with a new guy that doesn’t even know which of the remaining players he wants to keep or let go etc? It will be a very messy, disjointed transition.
Anyone who says we’d be better off without HK is insane. 25 PL goals a season strikers, guys that have 40 off goals involvements a season, are like gold dust and certainly not attainable for us unless, like with Harry, we get lucky enough for them to come out of the academy. And I certainly do not trust Levy to get the recruitment for the rebuild right, his decision making has been catastrophic for 3 years now with the opening of the stadium masking some serious errors of judgement.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I genuinely think we go back to mid table mate. Literally can’t believe Spurs fans don’t realise how bad this will be if we lose him
Team next season:
GK: Hart
RB: Doherty
LB: Davies
CB: Sanchez & Dier
CM: Sissoko & Winks
RW: Lamela
LW: Sessegnon
AMC: Dele
ST: Lucas
Its ok everyone Steve 'chancer' Hitchens will sort it all out. Steve is a footballing intellectual and has his finger on the pulse of emerging talent especially in the former Yugoslavia. I would not be surprised if this superb technical leader hasn't already lined up 10 replacements for Kane. Trust in the Steve I say like Levy does.

Yeah we were but we eventually recovered. And at least out of all the rubbish we signed using the Bale money we got Eriksen.
If we can get a good manager in, they'd still have a good team to work with even with the loss of Kane. Hopefully they could get more out of Dele who has started showing signs again lately. Someone like Potter would be good for Dele. Obviously we'd have to get some other players in though.
