Having defenders out causes all your forwards to miss guilt edged chance after guilt edged chance apparently.
Liverpool's problems have been taking chances rather than defensive deficiencies, but as usual the victim mentality kicks in and it's all about the missing defenders.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Shows a massive lack of understanding. If your defence has been gutted, and you put slower defenders there, you cannot play a high line. Means you can't camp in the oppositions half, as they do. Means less dominance and better chances to score.
If the midfield also drops into defence through necessity then u lose the bite and creativity it offers, meaning the quality of the chances drops. Anyone who is a fan of football can see Liverpool set up is totally different because of injuries, and they aren't anywhere near as fluid or productive because of it. That's to be expected with that many injuries.

They've missed the most big chances in the league, that has nothing to do with having slow defenders and has more to do with poor finishing from the forwards.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I saw plenty of problems on the pitch. Especially in defence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We conceded 2 goals more than you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes- you recovered, like Liverpool have done, towards the end of the season and Liverpool had long took their foot off the gas having had the league won at the earliest point in top division history.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The dip in form coincided withe the UEFA farce which put a lot of players contracts in jeopardy because they are linked to bonuses.
As soon as CAS threw the ridiculous charges out, City won 7 of their last 8 games.
They was also the issue of Liverpool and 8 other clubs secretly trying to get the PL to sanction City.
I'm sure Pep would have loved to have highlighted all these underlying factors but chose not to..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
😅😅😅😅
So the players lost games not because their best defender was out but because of a potential ban?
You sound like Ole saying man u have hit bad form because of the protests. Now you have to be just trolling boris 😅
Nat Phillips is the 2nd best CB in the league after VVD (according to Got_Better)

Most shots out of all 20 clubs and also most shots on target. You can't blame having missing defenders for failures by your forwards to be clinical.
It was ok for City to lose Laporte. Just about every pundit acknowledged that as the reason they fell away.
Liverpool lose pretty much every CB for the season as well as the club captain in the middle and it’s excuses.
