the fact is mane has been poor compared to last season and they have a cf who's pathway to goal seems to be blinded by his own ridiculous teeth

I'm really not sure why the LFC fans are upset. They've just improved on their average PL position this season from a hopeless place a few weeks ago. Just because City and United are better doesn't mean it's all bad.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who's upset? We're happy with the end of season, considering the disaster in the middle. We were first in form for the first third of the season and first for the last third. We've done well considering the issues.
It was United fans who brought Liverpool into this, one even started banging on about history
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes. You've done well to drag yourselves back into it. Looked bad at the start of April but you did it. Same as United last season capitalising on Leicester fading at the end.
It what is surely an amazing coincidence, the four Premier League teams who finished in the four Champions League places also happened to have the four most expensive squads and four highest wage bills.

This article is on the Liverpool board, and we’re replying to it. I thought that was the general idea.... Maybe next time the op should state that only those that agree with him need reply, would save all this pointless debating....
In fairness to Solskjaer, United have developed into a good side throughout this season. It looked like it could be another potentially difficult season when going back to your defeat against Arsenal at home and then getting knocked out in the CL groups was a blow in December, but after that you've shown some pretty good form for the remainder. You have certainly improved, not being dragged into a CL battle and finishing comfortably in 2nd.
Manager of the year though? I don't think so.

Solskjær has to take a lot of credit for this season. Unbeaten away in the league and I’d say there were mitigating circumstances for four of the six home defeats (Arsenal and Sheffield United not so much). And that’s after a summer window that, for whatever reason, didn’t really fix any the issues in the squad, though it did add some genuine depth.
That said, you can’t overlook how other teams have fared. Chelsea and Spurs were bad enough to sack their managers, and Arsenal probably could have, while Liverpool obviously fell off a cliff as well. And we’ve been pretty dull in the bigger games, if we’re honest.
While it’s been a good season from Solskjær’s perspective, I’ll struggle to call it a real success if we lose to Villarreal - it will feel a bit of a damp squib overall.
