JET, good report. Nice to see you rate Soldado/Gomez up front, quite happy with that tbh - was quite impressed by LSTD's formation, really rate Isla in that role. Still, Ilicic got a nice write up too

Where do you want me to put the report up LSTD?

posted on 17/12/11

No i agree with what your saying, i actually thought Punt would have gone with similar tactics to those he used vs Arsenal which is why i went that way but against Arsenal, Chelsea ect i think it would be effctive as generally their wingers like to come inside more, like in the napoli v city game silva and balotelli always tried to play through the middle and in the end it just allowed napoli to counter attack.

but yeah i know what your saying maybe romeu in midfield with ramires would make it a bit better too

Won another argument I feel sorry for you now pal. And that wasn't an argument, that was me stating not to cry when your game is last every week.

Arugment = An exchange of diverging or opposite views, typically a heated or angry one

Erm I'm involved in reports? So I have a right to beak in to things.

Just be quiet, no one is interested in what you say.

I did think that, then a) Kjaer was injured so didnt was to lose the pace and b) thought you might realise I might and c) I really like Cazorla and wanted him to play haha

i think it will be arshavin and walcott in the first leg vs milan cause it would be only 3 days after ACON finishes

---------------- Lloris ----------------

Dani Alves -- Vidic -- Barzagli – Fabio

-------- Coquelin --- Schwein' -------

A.Johnson -------------------- D.Silva

--------- Alex Pato -- E.Dzeko --------

Subs:
P.Reina
I.Miquel
A.Cole
D.Fletcher
A.Young
F.Malouda
Fed Macheda
==================================

Substitutions:

(Malouda > Silva - 75th minute - Malouda get at the fullback and look to get service into attackers)

(Fletcher > Coquelin > Support Schwein and keep it tight at the back  - shielding back 4 and closing down)
=======================================
Main tactics:

Reina will look to stay sharp and focused all game and look to take command of his box. He will come out for anything within his reach and narrow the angle for opposing strikers whilst distributing possession to players in space to start attacks.

Our fullbacks Alves and Fabio will look stick tight to their wingers allowing them no room or space, they will look to use their pace and strength to marshal them off the ball and look to get an early challenge in. They will also look to force their wingers wide so they’re unable to constantly cut in on their preferred foot and put in strong challenges to put them off their game. Once the game has settled they will also look to venture forward whenever possible to support our wingers down the flanks whilst DM's cover however they will ensure defensive duties are first priority but this is flexible through their work rate and determination. Vidic will look to mark their main striker, he will look to close him down rapidly and isolate him, not allowing him time on the ball, he will also use his physical ability and strength to his advantage to win aerial headers and make strong challenges to win back possession. He will also constantly look to hound him and use his natural aggression to make him uncomfortable and bully him out the game making sure he gets no service. Barzagli will look to play slightly further back and mop up anything that goes beyond Vidic. This is to ensure we can deal with the threat of any pace and limit any one on ones. He will also look to read the game, watch for runners and anticipate opposing attacks so our defence can deal with them before they get into dangerous positions. Our defence should work as a unit to avoid leaving any space at the back, closing down any opposing player is vital as we don’t want them to have any time on the ball, this will then lead them to rush and thus lose the ball so we can counter.

Coquelin and Schwein' will play just ahead of our defence breaking up play, two enforcers will allow our front 4 the freedom to attack whilst also bulking up the defensive part of our game at the back. Coquelin will look to be more active looking to press opponents ensuring even the simplest of passes is hard to come by. He will also look to make strong challenges and make his presence felt in midfield. Schwein' will act more as the experienced head besides him looking to penetrate from deep and control the tempo of the game. He will look to support Coquelin whenever required looking to recover and retain possession. Schwein will also look to use his vision, awareness and passing range to get our attackers in space. These two should both ensure their midfielders have no time on the ball in the middle of the park, we will look to overrun them and get our creative players on the ball as much as possible

Silva will look to take on his FB whenever the opportunity whilst also looking to come inside acting as a creative mid - drifting in and out of positions receiving the ball and looking to make his typical mazy runs. Johnson meanwhile will look hold the width looking to beat his FB with his pace and cutting inside looking to get a shot/cross in. Our fullbacks will look to support when neccesary in attacking positions as we look to take advantage of their fullbacks.

Pato and Dzeko will look to play as our forwards. Pato will look to work the channels and use his good movement to get into good positions feeding off Silva and co's creativity. Dzeko will look to support him with a more aggressive approach looking to win any aerial challenges, shrugging defenders off and looking to work space. They should both work in tandem to get at the opposing defence and bury any chances that come there way.

There you go vince

Hull City vs Tottenham Hotspur

Both teams tipped for Europa League this season and both under guidance by two great managers this promised to be a great one. Both teams came flying out of the traps, Willian tried a chip from outside the area but it went over and it hit the goal standings while Rodwell's shot just shaved past the post. Hull started to string some passes, frustrating Spurs. The pass count went up to twenty before Vidal lobbed the ball over Alves and Bent brought it down. He found Willian on his right, the samba man went past Zapata with some step overs and put in a toe poked cross towards Bent whos header made Adler go in to action and tip it over for a corner. The resulting corner came to nothing. Spurs started to get more in to the game and they broke the dead lock when they're own Samba man found the net. Adriano found the ball out wide and he ran in centrally, he had options to his left and right but continued to run. He then played a ball through the gap of the Hull defense to Veloso who ran on to it inside the box. He cut in side and beat the sliding Rami and then slid it back to Adriano who smashed the ball low and hard in to the back of the net. Spurs then had the mommentum to push on for a second and they nearly found it when they hit Hull on the counter. Adriano was burning down the line, he ran in to the box and found Osvaldo just outside of the box who made Steklenburg pull of a magnificent save to keep it at 1-0. Spurs had another chance when Rodwell was brought down on the penalty D. Diego smashed the ball towards the top corner but Steklenburgs fingertips denied the Brazilian making it 2-0. Hull nearly found a late equalizer when Steklenburg hoofed the ball up, going past Alves and Zapata and it fell to Bent who tried to lob Adler who was off his line but it hit the bar and went out for a goal kick. The half time whistle went and their was a few grumbles from the Hull fans while the Spurs fans gave their players a standing ovation. In the second half Hull started to play a lot better, stringing a lot of passes and Willian put in a troubling cross which Adler had to punch away. Hull went close again when Gabby knocked the ball past Alves. He found himself in the box, he cut in side on his left and fired a cross to the back post where Bent slid but it hit the post and went out for a goal kick. Hull got their reward for their hard work when Willian recieved the ball out wide, he weaved in and out of the Spurs defense and he found himself against Naldo, he took the ball past Naldo but Naldo took down his fellow countryman and it was a penalty to Hull. Bent stroked it past Cech and in to the bottom corner to send the Hull fans in to raptures. Hull looked like they could score another, Willian was looking on fine form and nearly found a second when his shot from outside the box curled and hit the bar, Adler couldn't of did anything about that. Hull found their second when Willian again beat Alves but he was tackled by Rodwell but then Vidal retrieved the ball and launched it in to the box. Matri headed it back to the edge of the area to Milner who volleyed it home and the KC exploded with celebrations. Hull didn't sit back for the last 15 minutes and nearly wrapped it up when Milner played a through ball to Willian who sent a cross to the back post and Matri was about to head it in only for Naldo to header clear. Spurs took confidence from that miss and they were throwing everything in the last ten minutes. Rodwell found space outside of the box after recieving a pass from Veloso. He took one touch and it just skimmed off the bar and out for a goal kick. Spurs thought they found a last gasp goal when Rodwell found Osvaldo who dummied the ball and ran through on goal. He then dinked the ball over the keeper and Diego ran on to it and smashed it in. Only for Diego to be offside. Spurs went for the equalizer and they nearly got it when Rodwell chipped a ball over the Birmingham defense and Osvaldo brought it down and shot first time and he lobbed it over Steklenburg and it hit on the top of the net. From the resulting goal kick the Ref blew for full time.

FINAL SCORE: Hull City 2-1 Spurs

Hull Goal Scorers:
Bent 64
Milner 78 (Matri)

Spurs Goal Scorer:
Adriano 20' (Rodwell)

Hull MOTM: Willian - 9 - Beat Alves many of the times and won a penalty for his side, he has been a great signing this season.

Spurs MOTM: Rene Adler - 9 - Pulled off magnificent saves to keep the score low, will be disappointed to have lost this game.

the actual report, punt got his home and aways mixed up but no actual changes tbh lol

TJ i actually thought you had the strongest team youd put out so far it looked very good and a lot more balanced, with that team think your results will be a lot better.

However though Wigans team was better and set up well enough to snatch a win
