In April aswell with a small squad, winning the league by 4 points, still in one of the cups in the semis and in the QF of the CL against Juventus after a 1-1 draw at home. These injuries are starting to get annoying!

wigan every club have players that flop...

punt bolton as a whole been bad and the bolton fans are saying that hes been good this season but let down by others. Hes also been good for England this season so personally i think its more to do with bolton as a whole than Cahill. Hes only really coming in as back up to Luiz and Terry so for 5m you can't really go wrong. If we were going for a starting CB then obviously id have prefered a better player like Hummels but we dont need a starting CB need to spend the money elsewhere like RB and LW

At 26 it's a good age for Chelsea as he can step in for Terry when needed while he won't be in the way of players like Kalas and Chalobah developing

I disagree, from what I've seen of Cahill his positional sense has been poor and he has generally just not coped. In all honesty, I would have been expecting him to stand out if he was to move to Chelsea that's all.

I think a better target would have been Jagielka, but that's just my opinion.

But Jagielka is 30 and our problem is we only have one CB under 29 lol

Cahill makes sense IMO he showed what he's capable of last season and in the summer any fan of a top 6 club would have taken him so don't see why that should change so quickly when he's playing for a team where the defenders around him hardly help.

As I say 5m for a good quality back up CB you can't really go wrong tbh

I think Ancelotti expected that 50m to be a starter and tbh in sure everyone else did, any club would have taken Torres, maybe not for 50m but for 35m I reckon clubs who could have afforded would have taken the deal.

look at the CB back up at Man Utd - Evans and Smalling(Jones aswell but hes a starter in midfield it seems) hes better than both imo, smalling got potential to be better but the whole point of cahill would to not get in the way of kalas and chalobah

City - Savic and Toure again better than both imo

Arsenal - Mertesacker and Djourou, think hes better than djourou maybe equal to mertesacker if not better
