And I don't think he'd replace Romeu tbh I think we are better off with a proper DM in midfield. Essien is a good player definitly but last season he was poor in the last few months and another injury so possibly wont be the same player

I don't think Cahill will start he isn't better than any of our other first choice defenders, merely there to replace Alex cheaply and allow us an extra foreign space for an attacker

Krasic would be a good short term signing to replace Malouda but his main position is RW so unless AVB plans to play Sturridge left/AM and Mata left/AM Krasic would be a sub

Essien was good at RB but think he'll play midfield. He played AM today and has always done well there for Ghana so might be used there. Not sure he's the one to supply Torres though
