I know we've had this conversation before, but on the last 12 months form alone Cahill a) isn't worth 7 million b) shouldn't be in Chelseas 1st choice CB pairing

As you've said before LSTD, I suppose if you need a British CB he's the best you've got but with Drogba leaving probably and Anelka gone I don't see why you cant get a foreigner in

Alex is leaving so we need a back up replacement. Cahill is cheap and another HG which would allow another foreign ie Lukaku into our CL squad as well as freeing up spaces. Drogba unlikely to leave this month so we need a space and we need a 3rd choice Cb. Now we have that so don't see the problem with the deal it's good for everyone.

Can think of anyone better we could have got for the same age and price.

And anyway he's made himself first choice Cb alongside Terry go England in the last few months so obviously not doing that bad. Chelsea's players are better than Boltons too donors help.

Good 3rd choice CB to replace Alex so I'm happy

My only problem is wages. Supposedly 80k a week that's twice Mata almost and more than Ramires Sturrige and Luiz too

I'm just not concvinced Cahill is better than Alex, and that he's presumably been promised 1st team football which is going to restrict Luiz' game time who personally I think despite his madness, when alongside Terry, offers more than Cahill.

Suppose I just can't see the improvement, that's all. Think if you'd have been able to tie him up now on a deal at the end of the season that may have been better

And Mata on 40k Needs to talk to Ashley cole....

I think Luiz could play more at FB instead of us paying loads for a new RB, Or even at LB where Cole is under performing.

Either way Cahill is a better option than Bosingwa

I'd have liked to keep Alex to he's definitly the better player but at 29 he's very injury prone, he doesn't want to play if he's not first choice so it's time for him to leave.

Watched valencia game the other night rami/ruiz looked good
