Scored a good goal at least. Hard to feel sorry for him though when he spends most the game whining and rolling on the floor.
If I were Sarri I'd seriously considering using Pedro or Hazard up front. We'd be more dangerous with CHO coming off the bench than Morata to be perfectly honest
Been really impressed with Chelsea this season and scary to think how good they could be with a top striker, Morata looks done and they'd probably have been better off keeping Abraham tbh.
Could be some big moves for strikers this summer. Chelsea and Real Madrid obviously in need whilst Suarez seems to be morphing into Benzema in that he's simply there to assist Messi. Looked below par at the World cup, only 3 goals in all comps this season and read a stat that he hasn't scored an away goal in the Champions League for 3 years or something silly
Chelsea - Icardi
Real Madrid - Kane
Barcelona - Bobby
Would be the most suitable moves IMO.
Watching Benzema play as a "striker" is a painstaking watch. All those years playing wingman to Ronaldo has left him as a cuck upfront. Read this on Marca the other day.
Real Madrid haven't scored for more than five hours, due in no small part to the inability of its No.9, Karim Benzema, being able to find the back of the net. In those 319 minutes, supporters have apportioned blame both in the Frenchman's direction, and also to the club's board, after letting their best goal scorer move to Turin. Benzema is under more pressure than ever. Even though his job during the last decade has been to accompany the best finisher of his time, he was expected to free himself from a supposed straitjacket to take the baton from Los Blancos' all-time top scorer. But that hasn't happened.
Despite a great start to the season with five goals in four games, Benzema has stalled. This year he has no excuse, whereas in 2017/18 particularly, he could argue that he was a creator of goals for Ronaldo. Six encounters without scoring, of which Real Madrid have only won two. Some say that the Frenchman feels a disconnect, that he isn't involved in the game because he occupies a different position now, and that he hasn't been able to reconvert himself for what he is being asked to do.
What's worse is that he's only had 15 shots all season, just three more than Sergio Ramos and half that of Gareth Bale. And his involvement in the attack, beyond the shots, isn't flourishing either. He played fewer passes than Ceballos, had less presence in the area than Asensio and worst of all, in Moscow, wearing the captain's armband, again showed his indolence in some phases of the match. So many drops of despair have been shed that they could've filled the glass several times. However, Karim always found, at the last moment, a rope to hold onto and pull him out of the abyss. Two decisive matches to win the Champions League - at the Estadio Vicente Calderon and in Kiev is a case in point. Just 12 goals in 47 games and three streaks of six games without a goal has got everyone concerned again, however. There are many voices asking the coach how he feels about the striker, and whether he should take away the privilege of being a starter. Julen Lopetegui, for the moment, has shown confidence in him, but gives the feeling that there will be no more chances if he doesn't immediately turn around the situation. There's no more margin for error.
Would love Icardi.
Madrid should for a Kovacic - Morata swap
Think Bale and Asensio doing well and Benzema being crap will hopefully stop Madrid chasing Hazard again next summer.
Sarri has done ridiculously well to change the entire style of the team, particularly in the defensive phase imo, all whilst having no striker up front. Players seem to love him too
Agree with that TAb, although I imagine Mbappé would be Reals main target.
Reckon if Real don’t get Mbappé then it’ll be Hazard/Neymar they are after.
Suarez has been getting criticism for over a year now. Can’t see Icardi at Real/Barca as he doesn’t get involved enough in play.
I'd be personally more than happy to play for Icardi's flight over and hotel stay for a medical if he agrees to join Chelsea
BBC doing a "your combined City and Liverpool XI" thing.
Went with;
Ederson
Walker VVD Kompany Roberton
KDB Fernandinho DSilva
Salah Aguero Firmino
Which is of course the correct answer
How’s it going, roasting here but very windy down the beach
I would go Mane over Firmino, Mendy over Robertson when fit and probably a different CB over Kompany tbh, not all that mobile these days
https://twitter.com/turkish_futbol1/status/1047942592191746048?s=21 Then this guy in goal.
Without opening the link I’m assuming that’s karius wjo managed to scoop the ball into his own net
I’d go similar but Laporte/Otamendi over Kompany and Sane over Firmino. Maybe even Mane over Salah too with those cms
Fan Actually a class day down south today

Any wummin? Fan on the pull?
Sounds like another good day for the Arsenal academy system as ESR scored yesterday.
When was the last time they actually brought through a top prospect?
Wilshere is the only name I can think of right now.
