The phone line stuff is the biggest rip off. Can't wait till we finally have internet not connected to that in this country.
Virgin's Fibre Optic is currently the only one that's good for more than just a few small test regions but, because they're the only ones atm, they can charge silly money. Eventually the whole nation should be on fibre optic. Internet speeds are a joke in this country when you compare to the likes of South Korea.

i use hyperoptic, but it's only installed in new builds atm
a phone line makes it cheaper 48 quid a month 1gb speed (only if connected to a cable) but wireless is still 380mb download speed per second. i dumped sky/bt and all that
not like anybody really uses a phone line at home anymore
What's the upload speed on the hyperoptic?
I think I've actually purchased a house phone only once, and probably used it that many times as well.
tested it just now
download speed 397.21 mbps
upload speed 311.79 mbps
Not bad. Of course, most of the country lags woefully behind that. I think the fasted I've ever had maxed out at 50mbps download.

Plus that 16k 60fps porrno is a basic human right
my internet is so bad, i have to stick to the midget business to get a decent video resolution
