Sturridge looking a bit rusty needs to up his game wasting some good chance to give Torres tap ins
Might see Lukaku/Malouda on for him in second half I think
Essien warming up
Lampard looks to be injured
Lampard is going off, it's actually Malouda warming up. Essien Malouda apart from the fact Essien is a lot better what's the difference lol

Torres hasn't really played that well consistently until the month
Think we are playing fairly well but Sturridge is being far too wasteful he needs to find Torres quickly because he's the one causing most problems
Been impressed with Luiz though he's been solid
Yeah Malouda can play CM too but hopefully we go 4-2-3-1
What play by Torres again, Ruddy does well
Thanks for the report JET
Bosingwa can't cross now either lol
Mata much better since Lamps went off id bring Lukaku on though someone to aim for in the area, take Sturridge off
Mata great play but should finish it really

Torres again getting behind. Brilliant deafening by Pilkington to stop Malouda scoring
Good half both teams played well. Torres looking really sharp now, it's a matter of time now...
Portsmouth vs Manchester City
A huge game today on the coast as Portsmouth took on City, Portsmouth started the strongest, Kroos playing through Gomez. The German powerhouse tried to round Casilass, but Spains number one read him like a book and collected the ball. Portsmouth went close again, Ayew played a cross across the face of goal and Gomez looked to tap it in but Puyol threw his body in front of the ball and stopped a certain goal. City after that came more in to the game, they nearly went 1-0 up when Nani's long range effort took a deflection and left Akinfeev flat footed but luckily for him, it struck the post. Portsmouth replied superbly to that stroke of luck and they took the lead courtesy of Toni Kroos. Inler's long ball found the head of Gomez who knocked it down to Kroos who hit on the half volley and it curled in to the top corner. City tried to come forward again but they had no real chances for the rest of the first half as Portsmouth kept possession.City came out in the second half looking fired up and just a minute after the restart Cambiasso played a lovely through ball which Nani ran on to. Nani put in a cross and Benzema looked certain to score but he put it wide. City came forward again with Di Maria who took it to the byline and lofted it to the edge of the area where Ozil's volley looked certain to go in however a Mbia block saved Portsmouth. Portsmouth then counter attacked, Ayew raced away down the left wing and ran straight at goal, it was a 3 on 1 situation as many City players were still in the other half. Ayew played a ball across the face of goal but Gomez fired straight at Casilass as Portsmouth were wondering how they weren't two nil up.For the next 15 minutes both teams attacked and City equalized when Tevez tried a long range shot and Akinfeev saved but pushed it out only to Benzema who pounced on the rebound and made it 1-1 and in the 83rd minute, Cambiasso floated a ball in to the box which Puyol attacked but it went to Welbeck who nipped in and headered to make it 2-1 City. Then it was Portsmouth's turn to attack, they came forward and were gave a soft penalty when Soldado was tripped by Richards but replays shown Soldado ran in to Richards legs. Soldado took the penalty and placed it in the bottom corner only for Casilas to turn it round the post. Fantastic save. Portsmouth threw everybody forward in search of an equalizer. Soldado's curler hit the post and Mbia's header from a Kroos corner just went past the post and after that there was no time left and the full time whistle went. City will be thrilled with the three points due to DC's subs who made a big difference but Punting will be angry with his players marking for the second goal.
Full Time Score: Portsmouth 1-2 Man City
Portsmouth Goal Scorer:
Kroos 34 (Gomez)
City Goal Scorers:
Benzema 77
Welbeck 83 (Puyol)
Portsmouth MOTM: Gokran Inler - 8 - Had Ozil in his back pocket all game and played superb. Will be gutted to be on the losing team.
City MOTM: Iker Casilas - 9 - Who else but him? HIs saves kept City in the game not to mention his penalty save. One of his best performances in a City shirt.
Lukaku played all the league cup games and about 4-6 PL games
Looked good in a few like Everton and Fulham but then poor vs Arsenal and Man Utd, understandable we were losing in both and he was put out wide
But he's had a few games in the reserves and now looking much better not sluggish his first touch is good and developing very nicely now. Belgium to England is a huge step up for him at 18 so wouldn't expect him to play loads this season
Thanks Vincent
Mceachran starting for Swansea today apparently
i did say go more defensive if hull continue to threaten my defence but ok you must have missed that part
thought i also had the players to win it tbh too

Pretty much agree with that except one. Would say Gerrard has to win up against M'Vila.
