Would be a shame to see that happen.

A) Think he suits Bolton perfectly & is a club legend there - should see if they are relegated or not (which they probably will be without him).
B) Doesnt fit in to MON's new brand of football, and not sure Sunderland can't and won't find better in the summer.

Kanga - offer on your page

actually he fit perfectly and bolton are acivly shipping him because they cant afford a new contract and he is free in the summer

only gouing for Davies cos they cant afford Heskey

posted on 26/1/12

no we cant heskey is free in the summer too

or wigan

Agreed. Particularly if they get promoted - would have been a cert with Sven there.

Still think Davies would be a bad move all round, Sunderland are better off taking a punt on someone from Eastern Europe or a young German/Spanish talent. Or even Jordan Rhodes, whose linked with Reading

No deal Punting, sorry
I like my players atm, personal preference

Rhodes is being linked with alot of clubs, he is worth a gamble imo for a PL club

Would love him at Villa tbh

ok so we are better having a punt or a league one striker when we have 1 striker fit when we can get an experianced striker in (which we done have, we have 4 under 23s) who is a big man

not to mention we have two strikers on trial now aswell

Rhodes > Wickham

not true

Tbh I agree with Fan on this one

Rhodes scores for fun albeit in league 1 but 29 goals or whatever in one season is probably 7 or 8 times more than wickham ever scored in the league above that. He's a bit over rated imo he's strong and good in the air but he's just another Carroll imo

LSTD agrees

Definately

Rhodes > Wickham

posted on 26/1/12

That's a bit harsh LSTD. As bad as Carroll? Surely not?

posted on 26/1/12

Okay he may have a little bit more potential but he cirtainly doesn't look like hell ever be a good goal scorer

posted on 26/1/12

From 2008

Wickham 16 in 85
Rhodes 78 in 138

posted on 26/1/12

he is a big man...they hold the ball up not score also wickham is playing well in the premier league and did extreamly well in the championship at 16

the outher lad is scoring for fun in a crappy league with the best team by a mile any PL team to take him is stupid

have any of you seen connor play or rohdes for that matter

yes I have actually have you?

Rhodes movement is really good, Huddersfield were on last Sat, he took his goal brilliantly

wouldnt say lg 1 was that bad tbh

anyway at 21 to be scoring that many is exceptional

posted on 26/1/12

Yes Wigan and Rhodes is a better option than Wickham.

An argument saying that big strikers just hold the ball up is stupid, he's meant to be a future star, the best strikers score goals no matter what build, Drogba, Ibrahimovic, Llorente, Gomez, Cavani for example.

Rhodes will score at any level he's too go at finding space for that not too happen. I'd rather have Rhodes anyway there's no point having a striker just to hold the ball up if they aren't going to score. How many teams actually play that way?

posted on 26/1/12

we play that way

and wickham is playing well and whould have more if he wasnt playing in an awful tema under bruce and he is only 18

Rhodes has been promoted to bench lol
