He's not the same player as RVP though. Watch Chelsea he on average gets 1 chance a match and they are usually from where keepers will always save. His performances are good but there is no service. Right now how many of our goals actually come from open play and the ones that do how many of them are when Torres is dropping deep to create them.

Most strikers would struggle in this Chelsea team it's not just Torres.

Point is, his form doesn't just backdate 12 months - it was the same last 6 months and possibly longer of when he was at Liverpool.

I'm not defending him he should score but it's not entirely his fault. It's no good having Mata if the players outwide can't cross or do anything he's rendered useless I actually felt sorry for him last night until Essien came on Mata had no idea what to do if he passed the ball the player would just lose it

And punt Liverpool changed the style unde Kenny and he got 3 in 4 games. It would be the same if we could play to that style but we cant. Torres is a striker who thrives when he has creative players unfortunately ancelotti bought him and forgot to get anyone to compliment him.

If he moved to a club who actually create chances I think he'd start scoring fairly quickly but his confidence is so low now.

Drogba has like 1 more goal this season jet and he was playing more when we were actually creating chances

Falcao I doubt he needs chance created and we simply dont create enough, Higuain the same, Etoo not sure he would either if Drogba cant. Torres isn't playing badly now anyway he's just lacking goals
