Will be surprised if Parker gets it, he's in his 30s and only played a handful of times.

It shouldn't be any of the players IMO none of them will be key after this championships.

I think it was right to strip him. Out of all the england players he seems to be involved in most the controversy so anyone would be better than him now. He would very likely cause some division in the changing rooms so its best him not being captain if some players wont respect him. A captain has to have the respect of all the players. This is why Lampard, Gerrard, Hart or Parker are the best 4 candidates. However I do think the FA were influenced by some messages by Frimpong on twitter and someone else saying the changing rooms will be toxic.

Personally don't think there would be any splits in the dressing room that aren't already there.

Wasn't it Neville who said a while ago the Man It'd players would all stick together and not talk to the others and on the pitch Gerrard and the Villa players were always selfish.

There are a lot of cracks in the England camp another one isn't going to make any difference, and ea the one player(Terry) who you can guarantee will do whatever he can to do his best for England, wether that's throwing himself in the way of a shot or a stray boot or throwing himself into a post to clear a shot/score.

For me all the old players have to be removed after this tournament, only then will we see any progress.

Look at Spain, as soon as the likes of Raul were getting old and causing problems they were dropped from the squads, same with France now, same with Brazil and Argentina. All are better than England currently.

Just do what Italy do, give it to the player with the most caps in the squad, if he's not playing in a game give it to the most capped player in the 11

For the Sunday league team I played for, we just rotated it every week for everyone that wanted to be captain.

I should be England captain.
