theres cattamole 4m home grown in releases
releases and relegated squads could help you

He's not english or welsh and trained for only 1 year before 21 at Blackburn, was previously at Celtic. In my mind Given is foreign.

Shay Given, who despite playing for RoI counts as Homegrown, because he trained for Blackburn from 1994-1997 between the ages of 18 and 21.

nope. It's England or Wales (Y) just like real life.
For example, I think Cristiano Ronaldo is HG... 2003-06
His whole career has been in the UK, of course he is home grown
would it not make life easier if you just said 6 players have to be English?
