**********Press Conference**************************

Talksport: You and Wolves have done a rather large amount of transfers in the last couple of days. Have you got some special relationship with them and who was your biggest coup from them?

Vincent: I wouldn't say special but I did recomend Norwich to get him in as manager and the rest is history. Cesc Fabregas was, he was a key player in the past three seasons with Arsenal and we felt he can take us to the next level.

BBC: With the transfers of Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas to your club, many of your current midfielders will be feeling worried about starting. Do you think this pressure is good for them?

Vincent: Not being disrespectful to the teams around us but apart from Arsenal, we will be rotating our team around. However the pressure should be good, it should push them to do better.

ESPN: Were there any players you were trying to bring in but didn’t? If so how disappointed are you in not bringing them in?

Vincent: We tried to bring in Angel Di Maria but we couldn't negeoate with Man City a deal.

SKY: Many fans are delighted with what you have done with the club so far. What can you say to them regarding future transfers and your league targets?

Vincent: We feel the first 11 is fine, our back up will be improved now.

ITV: Some fans however have questioned the transfer of Jordon Henderson. They don’t know where he’ll fit in and the fact you have paid £20m for him has also been questioned. Could you tell us why you bought him?

Vincent: Henderson has a lot of potential and 20 million is a bargain in these days with inflated prices. He will push for a first team spot and knows like everybody else at the club they have to work hard to get in to the first 11.

ITV: So Wilshere, we hear that you have signed Toulalan today. What made you sign him?

Wilshere: Well we have plenty of attacking options and I feel that we lacked defensively in this department. With De Jong our only defensive midfielder I thought the opposition could catch us on the break and open us up. Toulalan will stop their attack from creating space and will retain possession when we have to.

BBC: Yes but unfortunately for you, it has weakened your Left Back position.

Wilshere: well in the last few days we have had Evra, Marcelo and Abidal at this position. These are all great left backs and are a great loss to our team. However Capdevila will bring us experience in this position so i wouldnt exactly say its weak.

SKY: You see Cesc Fabregas as a close friend as yours. Well if this is true then why did you decide to sell him?

Wilshere: Cesc is a dear friend to me and i have the up most respect for him cause he is truly one of the best professionals i have worked with in the game. I did everything in my power to keep him here. I knew his great playmaking skills would bring us goals and attract great players. Unfortunately though, not only did Chelsea give us a truly good offer for some excellent players, Cesc Fabregas told me he wanted to leave cause he wanted to play for what he said is the best team in the league. I dont agree with him. Arsenal are. However he feels his best chance of silverware is there and felt it was the right time to leave. It didnt help however when Fernando Torres said he has Chelsea DNA.

(Everyone laughs)

Talksport: Was there any players that you wished you could have signed before the deadline closed?

Wilshere: Well i was considering a left back and i did try and get Taiwo and Marcelo however their stupid managers cant see a good deal when it kills them so they lost out.

Daily Mail: You left Norwich City after one game. Why?

Wilshere: Well it wasnt that i didnt want to manage them. I just felt like i couldnt improve them. My best jobs are with the better clubs where i know the players better.

BBC: So Wilshere, the fans have been on your back ever since you have joined Wolves. What is your response to them?

Wilshere: Well I can understand why they have been on my back to be honest. Im unproven at this level and they want someone who can guarantee them trophies. However I feel i can deliver the silverware they need and they just have to be patient. I will give 100% to succeed at this club and if i start to fail then i will quit for the good of the club.

ITV: Many outcomings and incomings have happened so far as you have been as Wolves manager. Are you happy with your team?

Wilshere: I am delighted with my team. We are strong enough to fight for the top 4 this season and these transfers will be giving out a message to clubs across the country that wolves are a team to fear. They will not want to play us. Obviously however some players im sad have left. But we have quality to carry on.

ESPN: After Luka transformed Wolves in to a Champions League team, do you think you can take it to the next level and challenge for titles and have a good run in the Champions League:

Wilshere: Well we are going to have to take it one step at a time. At this current moment we are not a title winning team. In fact far from it to tell you the truth. However if i can improve some of the weaker positions and improve the depth of the squad then i am sure we can see us fighting for the title in a couple of years.

SSN: Many pundits believe your inexperience in the Premier League will make your time at Wolves tough. Will you prove them wrong?

Wilshere: To be honest, If i had stayed at Norwich the job would be tough. Anywhere would be tough. There is no current job at the moment that you can say is easy. You can be at arsenal or chelsea and think your season will be easy cause of the quality of their squads. Having said that you would probably be naive in thinking that cause you could be a bit foolish in the transfer market or your tactics wont be up to strength. This means that you can see your team drop down the league to a position no one thought you'd finish. The same applies to smaller teams like Norwich or West Ham. You may think this job is too hard for you and you are certain to get relegated. However if you put your best into the tactics and make sensible signings, you could see yourself mid table or near the europe league. That is how close each of these teams are. To your question regarding me proving people wrong about my time at wolves being tough due to my inexperience. Well you are going to have to wait and see. I believe i can but it will be tough and im going to have to get the points when it is needed,

The Sun: Do you think you have the right signings so far at Wolves? If so, who has been the most key?

Wilshere: Hmm, well I have improved the attack in my opinion. Maybe the defence has got slightly weaker but it is still strong enough for a top 4 team. In my opinion I think Juan Mata is the key one cause he is young and exciting. He will be a top top player and will bring the best out of everyone. He will bring skill and technique to a physical side.

Press Conference at the KC shortly...

posted on 2/9/11

Welcome to the KC stadium, where Fan Gilhaus and new captain Arturo Vidal await questions..

Rep: Fan are you looking forward to the new season, what do we expect from your new look side?

FG: Well, there has been a lot of changes during the summer and i am very excited by seeing what they can produce on the field.

Rep: yes, you have made a few changes, is there any particular signing you are excited by?

FG: I wouldnt bring players to the club if I didnt feel they could contribute to our cause. I am excited about seeing the new faces, but I am delighted to keep the ones that we have hhere already.

Rep: You signed 3 yesterday were you looking for more?

FG: well in truth I was looking for 2 new faces yesterday and got 3, as soon as Luka came in with a £30m + Freidal bid for Lopez, we couldnt knock it back, unfortunately Brad thought he was going to be No.1 but I told him otherwise, so he moved very quickly to Wolves where we got Tim Howard as his replacement. Nicilas Lodeiro is an exciting player, just back from injury, so wil take a while for him to get used to our fast free flowing football, but once he has, he will be good for us. And Alvaro Morata reccommend Joselu to us, his strike partner from real madrid Castilla, they were prolific together so hopefully they can gel here as well.

Rep: You mad you record transfer this summer when you signed Diego Rubio for £28m, is that not a huge gamble for an 18 year old?

FG: Listen, Arturo came to me after seeing him 1st hand and he was very positive about the lad, yes its alot of money, but he had a clause in his contract for that amount. If you cant trust your captain, who can you trust?

AV - Thanks boss

Rep:- Arturo, how do you feel being made the new captain?

AV; I am delighted the boss has put so much faith in me. I will do my best to drive the team forward to the next level..

Rep: You have a new partner for CM this season in Milner, how do you rate him?

AV: Well Jemmy is a fantastic player and with my old friend Yann behind us we have a midfield that can be together for a while. Hopefully the fans look forward to seeing us.

Rep: yes on paper it does look very good fan, but is your young team ready?

FG: we have Stek, Rami, Milner, Arturo, Cassano, bent - Plenty experience, and great youngsters, a good blend. Now, we must go and prepare for the Blackburn game, Thanks and good bye

AV: Addios amigos
