You can manipulate stats to suit yourself by saying he's played 11 games when really he's maybe came on for 5/10 mins at the end of a game.


You've backed Torres even when he's been shocking. So it's not surprising you are saying he is playing well. He hasn't been at a level that a forward starting for Chelsea should be.

I'm not saying Carroll is playing at a high level, he isn't doing well either.

He's not at his best but he's playing well. Even the biased ex Liverpool players are saying how much better he's playing on MOTD that tells you everything.

Hell get the goals but it's unfair to judge him when the teams been playing poorly he's not Messi he won't single hand idiot change it he's more like Villa he plays well when the team plays well.

I can see him having a good game today as long as the attack plays well. I'd rather Torres play than Drogba atm which is saying something cause drogbas my favorite player

You use arguments like the team hasn't been playing well so Torres hasn't been playing well.

Why can you use that argument for Torres and not for Carroll and Liverpool? Because you're a Chelsea fan? Torres has better players around him than Carroll does.

Torres has also had more time on the pitch to get out of his bad patch. Add to that that Torres is far more experienced than Carroll.

And you would expect that for games started to goals scored that Torres would have a better record.

Despite all this you say Carrol is rubbish, and Torres is playing well.

Renegade fair enough I just this Torres is a better player ability wise Carroll is good for causing problems with strength but not great on the ball IMO

And JEt arsenal have never been bad going forward just defensively but on current form RVP is the best CF in Pl so no surprise he scores lol

Personally think having him up front for England with Rooney would be a good option. Or Sturridge/Wellbeck for the friendly against Spain. England are never going to have players better on the ball than Spain.

Yeah I'd go for Sturridge I think he's better than Carroll, I'd imagine Piqué can deal with him in the air, Sturridge less predictable so could cause more problems

I'd disagree, I think a CF like Carroll is more likely to cause Spain problems.

They're likely to have all the ball. England's best chance will be on the breaks, and having Carroll in the middle of the box or up top to hold the ball up seems like a better option to me. I'd play him with Sturridge/Wellbeck off him.

If he's playing with a player off him it would be Sturridge cause Welbeck is more of a CF himself whereas Aturridge tends to be SS or RW at Chelsea anyway. But problem with Carroll playing to hold the ball up is right now he's not doing that his touch is poor he just loses the ball so I'd rather at Sturridge of Bent or Welbeck right now
