Any reason for that margin of loss?
I had it down as 2-1 normal time and an extra time goal/penalties for Newcastle. Put it down as 3-1 because I didn't know if the rules were for extra time and/or penalties. The game was very close.
Meant why you saw them winning tactically?
Thought the tactics worked really well with the type of players Tranq had.
Was looking for some thought as to why.... But no point it seems.
happy to go through, may return to that formation again soonish, but also got a few things i can carry over to my usual formation, until i wrote this new set, i didnt realise how uncoordinated my defensive instructions were, had them in the overview as a pressing side, but contradicted that in my individual tactics and got that sorted for future use
Henderson, Siquiera, Parejo, Pjanic and Strootman is a very energetic midfield. Tranq's formation, I felt, brought the best out of that area of the pitch and would have helped to control it. Considering that quite a big part of your tactics was based on controlling the midfield, I felt that losing the battle would lose you the game.
Did you use the tactics I posted for rex at his request
Yep. Also used the -2 slots that you stated.
My tactics weren't based on controlling the midfield, was all about attacking down the wings. But no worries.

Not bothered how I lost, just lost
Chelsea were better last season by the look of it...
That's what I read from the gameplan, anyway. That's what gave Newcastle the edge.
Jackson for wellbeck willy?
No idea where you got that from, but no worries.
Was bothered where I lost Fan as I want to stop it happening
We seek to win this game in the middle of the park, by coming out on top of the midfield battle, allowing us to take the game to the opposition. Carrick sets the tempo, taking the ball from the defence and spreading the play out wide. Song provides the power next to him in cm, together providing the perfect pivot for our midfield and a perfect shield in front of the back four. Song brilliant at winning the ball back, and Carrick reading the play to be in the right place at the right time to protect the defence.
Probably from that.
Not sure what part of that says controlling the midfield? That's simple instructions for the midfield duo. Coming out on top of the battle is very different to controlling the midfield. No part of my tactics was about possession or control.
But no worries. Was just after a reason so I knew where to improve. Doesn't help me much is all.
Fan if you give me someone equally as good as Jackson in return for someone as chit as welbeck I'll consider it
