It’s a competition we should not of even been in. I still go back to that Fred red card. How the hell did he not sub him? Everyone could see he was going to be send off. But our manager did nothing, Just like he did nothing last night. Honestly it’s utter shocking how poor he is at reading the game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
that is absolute rubbish and a straw man arguement.

fred has had 19 yellow cards in 121 games for utd and been sent off once and that was the game against PSG.

there is nothing to suggest that anyone would have known based on this that fred was gonna get a red

do you see every other manager subbing off a player when he picks up a yellow?

of course ya fecking dont otherwise Fergie would have hauled of keane and scholes in 99 and we would never have won the CL

You are utter deluded. Plenty of people called it. He was a red card waiting to happen it that match.

As a rival if I may.

I dont think Ole is the man to win you the big prizes but I do think he will leave the squad in a much better state for the new manager.

He does deserve another year though as he finished 2nd and got to a Euro final, however people would be entitled to expect a sustained title challenge next season.

i think the fact Ole was never a big name manager has been against him for many since the day he came into the role.

lets say poch was given the job for example... i would hasten a guess that if within a couple of seasons he had us sitting in second and having reached a european final, quite a few would be more likely to give him more time

He took over a team that finished on 81 points the previous season, and had won trophies under Mourinho.

His highest points total so far is 74.

He hasn't won a single trophy.

Just got beat by the team finishing 7th in a weak la liga, with one of the most inept displays in a final I have seen.

The only thing people are holding onto is that we finished 2nd this year, 12 points off 1st.

Ignoring that the team who finished 5 points behind us, lost their 2 best centre backs for the majority of the season. And Chelsea sacked their manager part way through the season they were doing so poorly.

If finishing 12 points off first, getting knocked out the group stages of the champions league, and putting in a pathetic display in the europa league final is now deemed a good season.

The only reason Ole is still in a job is that the expectations are so low of him, that people accept the dross served up this season, and actually call it progression.
