The problem is that he's better on the left, that's where he plays for Dortmund. We don't need somebody who "could play on the right". We need someone who plays on the right.
Sancho’s ability to play comfortably on both wings makes him such a valuable player. We can’t exclusively rely on Rashford and Greenwood to play as many minutes as they do. We run the risk of burning them out. Not just during the season, but in the long term.

We need him on the right so this could be a bad move. I say pony up for grealish instead if we are going to sign a player " who could play on the right "
He can play anywhere across the attacking midfield / front line really. But one look at Who Scored tells me he played more games on the right than anywhere else. I wouldn't worry about him being shoehorned into the role if we signed him to play there. He's played a lot of football there and is as good there as anywhere else on the pitch

I agree he’s a must sign player. Luckily I think we’re gonna make it happen.
Unless he’s had a change of heart after watching last night.

I haven't seen any links either but I think he'd be superb for you. He's already a very good player and Pep would take him to the next level surely?
I don't rate Sterling though. Think he's incredibly over rated and very lucky to play in such a good side. He'd struggle like hell for any other of the traditional big 6 teams.

Grealish in this City team would just be unfair. Even worse if they get Kane.
City need an out and out striker and a Left Back.
Can't see Grealish on the radar.
Sancho’s best position is on the left.

Doesn’t he play similar position to Foden, sort of left sided AM, or a LW but coming inside a lot?

Yes, as does Bernardo or at a pinch, Sterling, KdB or Mahrez.
Foden play all over the place. I’ve no doubt that Grealish could do the same playing for Pep. They don’t actually need him, though. He’d just be amazing for them I reckon.
I’ve wanted Grealish for ages. Would hate him to go to City but yeah he’d be amazing there. Doesn’t look after the ball as much as Pep usually likes his players to do though, much more of a maverick that will try to make something happen every time he gets it.
Imagine if Grealish has been on your bench last night (and Ole had brought him on).
There were no real game changers on your bench last night.

We’re kind of stuck in a weird situation.
We need better players on the bench, but we’re not good enough yet to be appealing to players that good if they’re only going to be rotation options.
We need players as good as Mahrez, Bernardo Silva, Sterling etc all fighting for the same spot but they’re more content to be used in that way because it’s as part of a side competing for every medal.
Not sure we can outright buy players that good without benching our first 11 player now and them wanting out, and we’re back to James again.

We could have (should have) had Greenwood on the bench to be used as a super sub. Villarreal were no threat at all as a counter attacking side as they were slower than James Corden on a treadmill.
They were always gonna sit back and defend so the likes of Mata and or VDB would have been far more useful than Greenwood.

That's not on Ole. That's on our pathetic board.
