Totally agree. Ole is an embarrassment, and should be sacked immediately. Actually, we should have done it before. Now all the managers have been hired by other clubs : Tuchel, Nagelsman, Mario Rose, Poch.

Wow. People underrate Zidane so much its funny. By your logic even Ole would have won 3 CL's with Real Madrid
----------------------------------------------------------------------
why have real let him go?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Madrid haven't let him go. He walked, same as last time.

Conte would be the man, born winner.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So one of the other born winners, Klopp, Tuchel or Pep would have to be sacked, as they wouldn't be in the top three. Ie worse than Ole has been.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They’ve achieved something, they’ve won trophies. Our idiot-in-chief has never won anything. On the contrary, he got relegated.

clubs like madrid and chelsea ruthlessly get a new manager as soon as the current manager do not meet their lofty expectations. This is why I posted zidane's comment stating as much.

.........................

There is a counter to this as well PSG are the same. Bet they wish they had not been so rash in sacking Tuchel now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
true
but psg did not sack Tuchel for footballing reasons

I think you would have more chance of signing Kane from us if you had a zidane or conte in charge

Ole doesn’t have the pull he should have at a club the size of United

Let’s put it this way.....I don’t want ole at Spurs if you got rid

Nor would Arsenal, Chelsea, City or Liverpool

----------------------------------------------------------------------

If you're counting his relegation with Cardiff, maybe you should credit Ole with the titles he won at Molde?

As for "idiot-in-chief", you know what they say about those in glass houses ...

I don't think next season will be any better than this season with OIe in charge, we'll most likely be fighting for 4th spot as I don't think Chelsea or Liverpool will be as bad this season, unless they have major injuries again. But Ole will be here next season so well might as well just accept it.

The major concern is will we be able to turn up for more than 45 minutes next season and learn to defend set pieces, we had a ridiculous amount of comebacks this season, can't always pull them off.

Zidane great tactician? By his own admission, and by anyone that knows anything, that's isn't the case. What he is, is a very good manager of people. Which won't be easy at United if he doesn't speak English.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyone who watches Real Madrid can see he is a great tactician In fact he is more of a tactician in the SAF/ Mourinho mould than system manager like Guardiola.
For all accounts Bielsa can't speak English yet his teams outplayed City/ Liverpool and managed a respectable finish with Championship level players
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed. Now the new slant is Zidane cant speak english. But neither could Poch and he is a great tactician. I would take Bielsa over Ole if he can tame his "madness"

On the Garner article. Its closed for comments. Just saw this quote by Tuchel
"We don’t need another seven and another complete turnover because it’s also our job to keep on improving, because we have still a young squad and it’s not about stealing from them the chance to prove it again that they are capable of growing and evolving"

Some of our fans seem to think Ole needs to sign 5 players to compete. Its his job to make this group of talented players work

posted on 1/6/21

Is it a talented group of players, or one full of championship level players. Can't be both really.

life is not black and white so it can be both. We have a talented group with obvious weaknesses. If you need a perfect squad to win then what is the point of a manager in the first place.

We are losing to villareal not madrid in a final but still we make excuses that we need better players. Maybe we do, but not to beat villareal

Never quite sure why this does. Of course Molde is in a small league, but I would say the principals of management are the same. Company to company, team to team.

If there are Conte, Klopp, Pep and Tuchel here. Why would the fans of the team that finished fourth not want their manager sacked.
If Conte came to us and got fourth, what would our fans expect.

Yep. Leading them to their first title in their 100 year history shouldn't be disregarded. Granted, it isn't the same as winning the PL, Serie A, La Liga etc. But ot does hold some value.

I know it won’t happen but I think Conte could actually make a huge difference if he joined. Looks like Ancelotti is off the Real which leaves Conte available unless I’ve missed another club? The club lack exactly what Conte brings.

Nobody is holding his Cardiff relagation against him nor his titles with Molde mean anything to his Utd career.

Ole needs to be held responsible for getting us knocked out of the CL group stages, losing to Villareal in the final and being trophy less in 2.5 years. Any top club that's a sackable performance. Only champions of mediocrity think othrwise.

There has never been a summer where so many elite level managers are available. Zidane, Conte, Hansi Flick and even to an extent Pochettino, Ancellotti all can be had.
The club needs to grow some balls and replace Ole with Zidane, Conte or Flick. It would be similar to us sacking LVG and appointing Jose. Granted it didn't work out that well but neither is Ole
