Patterson has been better in his 15 mins than O'Donnell did in his 62.
When I've seen Gulmour for Chelsea he always looks a player beyond his years, in control and has his head up

Didn't think there was anything wrong with that goal.

Aye, one of those where the defender knows he’s beaten in the air, so throws himself forward to exaggerate the minimal contact. Ref nearly always buys it.
Dykes has missed so many chances!!!!!
Might have done better there?

O’Donnell’s main problem is that he’s not used to crossing the halfway line at club level.

Patterson is already 2 or 3 levels above OFonnell as a player

He's lit the park up compared to that dinosaur.
Since Patterson came on, the team now have a balance and are pushing down the right as well as the left. It's giving more space to the left hand side players also.
Gilmour and Patterson both need to start in the Euros for us. It's a shame Gilmour had to go off, but what he did whilst he was on was class. I just hope Clarke thinks the same, I suspect he wont though.
Gilmour and Patterson have been a breath of fresh air in that team.
Really not sure on Turnbull - think he is a 'hype job'.

O'Donnell doesn't do anything with confidence, Patterson looks to have it in spades, not seen enough know if he can actually defend.

Only seen the 2nd half, really poor finishing, maybe a few players playing in 1st gear not wanting to risk injury.

It’s not really Clarke’s style to take risks. Plus he is known to be pretty loyal and ODonnell has played his part in qualifying- basically because we didn’t have anyone else for RB.
But Patterson is a far better option. He’s an outstanding athlete, has great feet and inventiveness going forward plus he is a strong defender.
McGregor looks knackered and low in confidence. Gilmour looks super confident and super talented. A midfield 3 of Gilmour, McGinn and McTominay is probably our best.

You just know that Clarke will start with the dinosaurs though.
Some hit Gilmour took though. 😳
Thanks for your input, Willie:
"I think McGregor's form has dipped but he's such an important player for Celtic and Scotland with the experience he's got. I'm not questioning Gilmour's talent, I just don't know how he fits in that midfield"
FFS <facepalm>
As an exercise in keeping the nation’s expectations at rock bottom, that certainly ticked all the boxes.
Adams is a very welcome addition up top. Feck knows what we learnt from the rest of that though, that we didn’t know already.
BTW is it just me, or is Scott McT a pretty limited footballer when in possession, for a guy who pretty much starts every week for Man U? Not saying he shouldn’t be starting for us, as he offers loads defensively. Just continually surprised by how little he offers when we have the ball. Seemed more interested in running verbals with their number 10 the whole game.
