I don’t think it’s quite as high as that but the difference between treatment with and without a definition is staggering. The survival rate with just CPR alone is incredibly low.
On my fist aid course they stated, 7% chance with CPR 70% chance with defib, that's how important they are.

If applied in the first minute
If AEDs are used in addition to CPR to save the lives of those suffering cardiac arrest, deploying a defibrillator within 3–5 minutes of collapse can produce survival rates of 40–70%

Yeah that’s along the lines of what I’ve heard. I’m surprised they aren’t more widely available. You are starting to see more of them popping up available for public but nowhere as much as I’d like to see.
It’s worth people doing research to find out where their nearest one is though.

I can run to it and back within about 5 mins or so, or drive it in about 2. I’m serious it’s worth knowing. If you have one close enough you can be utilising it way before an ambulance can get there.

Defibs should be distributed to non league clubs by the FA, and that should be compulsory!

They usually have a code and you can phone to immediately get the code. In a sense it’s less than ideal, but without that you just know they’d go missing.
They have to be locked up because people have been stealing them.
Surely if you're THAT worried, you can buy a portable Defib that fits in a back pack and carry it around with you?
Apparently he’s looking at going back to training immediately, the Doctors can’t find any explanation for why it happened.

I mean that definitely won't be happening. But hopefully it's on the less severe side. Maybe it'll be similar to Daley Blind and he'll be able to continue playing.

Blind had a diagnosis though, the Doctors can’t find a reason for Eriksen.
Though if Eriksen wants to keep playing he will have to leave Italy due to their laws.

Yeah but ultimately he had a cardiac arrest, if they're unable to find the root cause they won't just say "oh well, crack on and keep your fingers crossed". If anything I'd have thought it's less likely that he'll be able to return without a diagnosis?
