Rumours that Bolla is going straight out on loan to Grasshoppers. Not sure if that is true though.

Another 21 year-old investment. Enough already! Sign some experience ffs.

No problem signing these youngsters so long as we are also signing ready made players. Let's see by the end of the window.

Still waiting to hear some news about a top quality midfielder to replace Moutinho. That’s the position that makes or breaks our summer to me

As for England, I think you have to be careful not to just heap praise because a team wins games. Criticisms can still be made. The style of football England adopted in this tournament always leaves the door open and results in fine margins when it didn't have to.

Englands results outside of the Ukraine game which ironically was the only game they played away were all tight affairs and managed that way by Southgate, look at the Denmark game, you were all over them, scored the goal in ET and went into Nuno mega defence mode to see the game out instead of just finishing the job with another goal.

I think a few English players enhanced their reputation in the tournament. Maguire and Rice were excellent and I thought Rice was our best player yesterday. Philips surprised me and over the tournament and was possibly our most consistent player. But nobody impressed me more than Luke Shaw who has improved no end over the last two seasons
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree with that except Phillips who for me did very little except run around like a headless chicken and if like me you have seen one you will know what I mean.
Maguire for me was our best player overall.

Facebook are launching a new pay per view events channel and the first Premier League club to make use of that will be Wolves. All of the 6 pre season friendlies will be shown on that channel for £4.99 each or £24.99 for all 6

Wolves still in negotiations to bring Vitinha to the club on a permanent basis but there is speculation that an ex Wolves manager would like to nip in and take him to Spurs

Is that the same ex manager that left him on the bench most of the time. I call BS.

Alternatively you can pay the same to watch the games on Wolves TV which I did this afternoon.

First game at Crew is this coming Saturday. Limited team selection for Bruno. Pretty much Raul, Ruddy and 9 under 23s

Yes. But it's also the same agent that takes a 10% cut every time he moves him on.

One local summer transfer will see Joe Edwards move away from being the Wolves reporter for the Express & Star and he will now be reporting on Walsall. It’s a straight swap with their former Walsall reporter Liam Keen

I imagine being a reporter on your local football team was a dream job 20 years ago. These days with social media, its probably pretty awful.

Just seems to me the art of journalism has disappeared from those kind of jobs. They are totally focused on retaining a good relationship with the club so tend to only write about what the club wants people to know. No investigative stuff to find out what’s really going on.

Looks like the protracted goalkeeping transfers will be confirmed very soon. Patricio is flying to Rome today and talk was that Sa was coming to Wolverhampton yesterday

Presume Scott Sellars is influential at the club nowadays and he is being quoted as saying he is especially confident that two youngsters at the club will make it to the top in the sport, Fabio Silva and Hoever

no idea if the source is legit or not but £2m still feels too cheap

He's probably at the point where the club have decided he won't make it with us. They probably won't get a high price for him now, but if he stays he might not get any better. So they will probably put a sell on clause in the deal, to make up selling him for a lower fee if he improves in the future.

I think they are mostly concerned with how many Twitter followers they have

I do think the standard of reporting in the E&S since Tim Nash left has been pretty poor really. Even if you're only being given snippets by the club and the odd nugget of inside info, the least you can do is write it up in an engaging way. Spiers and to a greater degree Edwards just seemed to write cliche riddled pieces using those cringeworthy stock phrases you only read and hear football hacks use.
"lackadaisical"
"hailed by fans"
"the (insert football stadium name) faithful"
etc etc

To be fair Spiers has improved a bit since his "big money move" to the Athletic and don't know what this new guy is like but just read his piece on the Sa/Patricio - in/out and he added at the end of the article (after it had meandered off in lots of other directions) "And reports last night claimed Roma’s long-running pursuit of Rui Patricio is about to be completed with a £10m move. Olympiacos keeper Jose Sa is expected to be his replacement at Molineux." ...as if he'd completely forgotten that that was the original subject of the article

Just for a bit of fun does anyone fancy having a stab at the starting 11 for Saturday's game? I don't know if Podence is match fit so I'm assuming he's not. I reckon Bruno will go with a 4.4.2 so this is my prediction:

Ruddy
Hoever Boly Kilman Marcal
Trincao Otasowie MGW Ait-Nouri
Jimenez Silva
