Use the Kane money to sign Lukaku and Martinez, easy solution.

Don, without CL football, you are not going to get a top striker of the calibre of Lukaku. Kane wants to leave because he wants CL football, so why would any top striker join Spurs.

I still expect Kane to be with Spurs next season. Levy will not let him go for less than £150 million or upwards.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeh and who’s fault is that Sandy that we didn’t get CL footy ? Mourinho partly to blame but your man Levy didn’t equip us with anywhere near good enough a defence last season
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Don, there are only four Champions League places up for grabs every season. Even clubs like Liverpool, United and Chelsea have missed out over the past decade. Spurs are having to compete with two seriously fiancially doped clubs in City and Chelsea, two slightly lesser big clubs, who seem to have money to burn in United and Liverpool. So why do you think it is a given that every year Spurs should be playing in the CL.

Don, from everything that I have seen footages of Kane interviews etc, he has never said he wants to leaved?
He has hinted that he may have to look elsewhere to win trophies.
However, Levy did put out a statement that Kane isn't going anywhere, unless a bid that would be impossible to refuse, and that he will then do what s best for the club which may involved letting Kane go.
In this pandemic, not many clubs would want t spend that insane amount on a single player. even though he guarantees goals?

Let's assume we sell him. We would get a healthy amount which surely means we can get a very decent replacement. Granted Kane is like 2 players rolled into one, one playmaker and one finisher, so probably we would need 2 players if Kane left.
I have seen us recently linked with players that will bring in plenty of service to any striker with crosses from wings, so if Kane wantss to improve his record he csn but it also help new striker.

Lukaku (expensive) or Lewandowski (cheaper) would be the only options for me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Why would either come to play for Spurs with no CL, when they have guaranteed CL where they already are?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Premier league football is a huge pull and money talks Sandy. If we did have the money for Kane, we would have the funds to purchase a Lukaku etc
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We may have the funds, but why would Lukaku come to play in the Conference League new competition, when he already has CL football for next season. No way would he move unless he was getting £400 grand a week, which he won`t at Spurs.

As I said I think Kane will stay, but if he goes, Spurs will have to scout a lesser striker, and hope for the best. When Messi leaves Barcelona, they will never replace him, but they will buy somebody and just carry on. When Jimmy Greaves, a far greater legend than Kane will ever be, moved on, he was replaced, and Spurs carried on. That`s how football works Don.

Levy could possibly sell Kane so late in the window where we have no time to replace him.
He has done this before you know.

he only did that with berba and to be fair he learnt from that.

if the plan is to sell Kane then we will bring players in first or we just end up paying way too much for anyone

The question is who is going to want to come? Spurs stock is lower than it has been in ten years. Lukaku? Do me a favour, why would he come to spurs

I think we will be looking in the European lower leagues for what we can afford and attract. Better hope the juventus bloke we brought in to sign players can do a job

We could get 300 mil for him and I'd still expect this club of ours to Norse it up....🙄

I think a striker from one of the relegated teams might be convinced to give it a season? Someone like Billy Sharp or Mitrović?

Guaranteed goals and 100% effort from them.

Son is about to put pen to paper. Kane leaving is a campaign started by United and the rags. The recent frantic rumours about him leaving was triggered by something an ex-United asked him on his show.
United and City players have been tapping up Kane, during England camp times.

All this prise Spurs out of their best asset who if you know, opposition fans labelled a one season wonder, out of their green enviousness, and yet another season Spurs hierarchy and fans are having to be bombarded with Kane leaving fake news will probably end up causing us to lose him.
The situation is such that I don't think it is impact the team that much.
Kane had become too much of an undroppable player and his inclusion cost us games in which we would have been better off not playing him.

It isn't the end of the world, if he did leave. Spurs needs a total rebuild, and Kane money with us having a proven Italian DoF could become the perfect thing and timing to get fresh, young and hungry blood to revive this club!
It's not the end but a beginning...

Ings would be a good fit I feel. Can play in different systems, should be able to get him, top lad, likely not have to move house, etc.

Exactly this. It'll be the same as Bale. Thing is, it'll be much more obvious this time if we start bidding 50m for centre backs.

Another magnificent 7?
Skriniar
Andersen
Aarons
Ings
Cheap striker from Serie A
Cheap midfielder from Serie A
Cheap winger from Ligue 1

The reason Kane will leave is the same reason nobody anywhere near as talented as Kane (yet) will join. You need to hope you can wisely spend the funds on several players the tier below him to make a net gain team wise to make up for his loss, or a player not quite as good but still improving who you can build up in hope of being the ‘next Kane’.

I think we have been linked on and off with Icardi a lot the past few years. Maybe it is more realistic with Paritici & Fonseca who have experience in Serie A. He is quality but has a bad attitude and baggage like you say.

Danny Ings is an obvious choice. Knows the league and has shown he can score so that's a possibility?

Ivan Toney is a massive gamble but could be worth it. But he would cost £££ and rightly so. Probably best for him to stay at Brentford at least another season now that they are in the premier.

To replace a player like Kane will be a nightmare. He is basically like 2 players for us. Assists & goals. Also a massive leader.

For goals alone Moussa Demebele would probably work for us too.

I really am keen to see how our scouting and purchasing is after the appointment of Paratici and whether it will actually change or stay the same with Levy making the final decision.

We'll get better strikers than Ings, ex-reject!

Have a feeling that Carlos Vinicius would have come good for us if he had a proper run of games and not one here and one there. There's obviously talent there.

A lot of Paratici deals and scouting are seemingly in Italy. There are some very good strikers, locals who could be a huge success here. And no, not Lukaku.

You guys should ask for Gabriel jesus in exchange if kane goes to city. Or bid for him atleast. Think he will thrive being the main striker

Really? He seems to struggle for goals even in their setup. I'd take him as a sweetener but wouldn't want to rely on him as first choice
