This did cross my mind.

Best case scenario would be sending Germany home, preferably on penalties, but it would be so beautiful to knock those smug frogs out before the quarters.

If we knocked Germany out on penalties I think I’d probably stop watching football right there and then. Every game after would just lose all meaning.

A German schoolboy team would probably win a shootout against anyone in the world!

Knock out Germany on pens with Musiala missing the decisive pen for the Germans. So in a strange way an English kid missing a pen sends out the Germans rather than us.

Not sure why but I imagine Stones to be a decent penalty taker for a defender, reckon he'd be quite calm about it.

Always depends who's still on the field for penalties or how you've used your subs, whether you played for penalties from the start of ET or made changes to get the win.
