Kane wants guaranteed silverware fast and the only Club in The Prem that can do that is City, especially the title. 4 or 5 years gobbling up anything he can get.

But it’s because we watch football that we know we have no chance of winning the title. I’m not going to stop watching football because you are deluded.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m well aware that unless we do serious business we are unlikely to even challenge next season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Never. Go. Full. Nohlman.
So what’s the problem? People saying we have no chance of winning the title are just stating the obvious.

May as well add "Haaland will go to Chelsea" to complete the pity party.
If City get Kane, he still has to fit in. I think Kane's a top player, but not sure he is exactly what City need or someone that guarantees them the title.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They would be favorites with or with out Kane, But there are no guarantees in the transfer market. Some players just don't suit the teams that they end up playing for.
We have seen loads of examples over the years.
Newspaper copywriters are itching for this to happen so they can use the headline 'Citizen Kane'

No, they're stating their opinion. Anyone who doesn't agree is deluded, or an idiot etc.
I don't call you deluded for thinking there is no chance, you may well be right, but anyone who concedes in June is definitely a defeatist?

Hopefully Levy has scared City off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why do I get the impression you only don't want him because of the fee and all the jibes that it will bring.
Why wouldn't you want the best striker in the league? I don't get that logic at all.
Kane could get 50 goals in your team if he stayed fit all season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe he wants haaland instead ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe however it seems unlikely they sell both Sancho and Haaland in one summer. Maybe they will though.
It’s still stating the obvious. Like me saying United will finish above Everton is. I don’t really care if it’s defeatist or not.

It's not definite though is it. Unless you are very rich from betting on football. Not many of those.
I don’t really bet on football. But I wouldn’t win much by betting that United won’t win the league as the odds would be shiiiit.

It's a good job Leicester, Liverpool and Chelsea all didn't think that way on their latest title wins. None of them were favs.
A lot will depend on who we sign. If we do manage to get Varane and Sancho we will have a very good squad.

Three bets, City for the title, United above Everton, United to miss out on the title could win you plenty.

Yes, but they still weren't favourites, which is the point.
After seeing Kane's performances in the euro's, plus the fact he is slow and injury prone. I'm not too sure about him.

Age, he will be 28 in August and too old to be 'moulded' by Pep.
I'd rather we went for Haarland or give our existing players a shot.
I don’t think it matters. City are just a much better team than us and the transfer window won’t be enough to get to their level.
City are strong favourites but the last 2 seasons they finished on 81 and 86 points.
Still a top side but not unbeatable or unplayable as us and certainly Cheisea have shown over the last couple of years.
We will be fighting for 4th with Leicester, Spurs and Everton.
