For anyone that isn’t sitting home, going out at all, getting all food delivered, not disinfecting the fck out of everything or opening windows - you are just one end of a spectrum of acceptable behaviour. It’s going on holiday ffs - not exactly licking dirty beer tumblers down the kings head.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ask all those people that went to Portugal the other week how their holiday turned out.

Oh ffs. It’s the “you’ll kill my granny” argument

Never mind the hundreds of thousands of people who will lose their jobs, maybe homes and families and in many cases businesses they’ve run successfully for years and built up at their own risk.

“It’s just a wee holiday”

Honest to Christ. Hide behind the sofa if you want but don’t dictate or lecture others. Unless it’s against the law me and the entire family will be off abroad without a single iota of guilt.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well said.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you personally know anyone friends or family who have died from Covid-19? If not I’d suggest you climb down off your high horse and see how dismayed people are with those who continue to do what they like regardless of anyone else.

As for high horses; there’s none higher than your self righteousness so unless you can tell me what I’m doing is wrong or illegal, well you know the rest.

Truly awful argument. Imagine using someone’s death to dictate what others do. Priiick

But that not what he said, is it? He'll go if he's allowed.

ALLOWED

Now sorry for your loss but get yourself down to Parliament Square to shout stuff at other people whose fault it isn't either.

Meanwhile the rest of us will do what we are allowed to do in an effort to save lives in the future. Is that OK with you?

Yes, 2 of my workmates and a further 4/5 have had Covid.

I've worked through the pandemic because I'm self employed and haven't had the luxury of being furloghed.

Stuck to the rules and had both vaccinations because I value my health.

If/when I go away, I'll still stick to the rules and the country I choose will probably be safer than the UK anyway.

lol. You and your family will be scrabbling to pay 6 times the normal price to get a sleazy jet back to the U.K. before you’re plunged back into the amber list.

Some people never f*cking learn.

I went to Cyprus last September.

Limited seating, had to wear a mask throughout the flight and had to show a Covid test result and temp. check when I arrived.

No biggie, had a great time because you could eat outdoors every night plus cheap car hire to get to more remote beaches.

Well an Airplane is probably the safest place to be. Most viruses and other germs do not spread easily on flights because of how air circulates and is filtered on airplanes.

You’re an idiot who’s tried to come on and lecture someone with zero basis or foundation. You have no idea whether I know of anyone who has died WITH Covid or not. I’m breaking no laws or rules. Yet you still think you are entitled to try and lecture people.

Keep on dimaying you clown.

Yeah - you ever seen those 'filters'

That said, a flight is about the most controlled space there is. You see your pub wiping down seats, handles etc? Nope, me neither.

6 people out of what was it; 160,000 travellers from amber list countries tested positive with Covid at last count.

More chance of catching it almost anywhere else in the U.K. and I’m sure most of them in the above numbers travelled by aircraft.

Sitting a seat or two seats away from someone with a cold, you’ll get it. Can go on about filters as much as you want, but there’s no way air travel is safe. Industry propaganda to an extent.

Yet only 6 from those 160,000 travellers came back with Covid. Which they could just as easily have caught before they went or abroad.

Can sit beside an open window on a bus or train. You can move away from people. Can’t do that on a plain. And yes the air is filtered, but if you are sitting next to or near someone with a pathogen, you are going to breathe that air before it gets filtered. And that’s not mentioning the arrival/departure lounges, multiple people using the tiny toilets in flight…
