I didn't report it but it was pretty disgusting that they filmed it tbh. They soon cut away from a streaker ffs

Did you switch channel or switch your TV off? Or did you continue to watch then complained? If you found it so distressing like...

Glad he is ok but I don't get all the virtue signalling around complaining about it.

They should have slipped a rainbow armband on him - that would've done the trick.

I've been watching P0rnhub for 8 days straight. It's absolutely disgusting and I want it to end. I just need to make sure I have enough evidence.

Once it's over, I need to check xhamster.

I completely disagree with this. First of all the feed is controlled entirely by UEFA. Secondly, you're asking the BBC to cut the feed and go directly to the studio where Lineker and the pundits aren't remotely ready for it, both professionally and emotionally. Alex Scott was virtually in tears when they did cut back some 20 minutes later. As LukaBrasi has said, if you found it so distressing you could have cut the feed yourself by switching off the television. You chose to carry on watching the very thing you're complaining to the BBC for airing. It's hypocritical.

Cut them some slack. On these shores they don't even show as much as a streaker on the Beeb any more so I'm sure if they had full control, it wouldn't have gone down the way it did.

This is a microcosm of cancel culture. It's just virtue signalling for me. You want to tell the world how awful it it is but you don't stop watching yourself. You just want to remind the world that you're a thoughtful human being. That's what's at the very heart of cancel culture - self promotion.

They could have cut to some sombre music and a temporary off air. Let's face it, they must have it on stand by for Liz

If they ever cut the feed of a Euros or World Cup match to announce the death of a woman in her 90s god help us all. I want to go into hibernation when that happens. I'm not anti-royal, I just find them all so dull yet apparently we'll all be mourning her passing. I won't be. She's a woman I've never met in her 90s. What's the big deal?

I'm sure a lot of the complaints are from idiots thinking the BBC were the ones who were doing the filming of the event.

Yeah they could have cut back to the studio but honestly it really isn't worth complaining about. Yeah it's an ugly thing to see but it's real life and that can be ugly and upsetting sometimes.

Can someone explain virtue signals to me. Do i get that on t mobile

People defending the BBC are just immoral. The reason why Alex Scott was nearly in tears was because of the fact they DIDN'T cut the feed. If they did then the pundits wouldn't have known exactly the extent of the problem.

Imagine England in the final and are winning well (obviously needs a great imagination) and the BBC get the news that she's died. Do they cut away from the game to announce it, or say sod it continue showing the game?

Awful from the BBC... Why couldn't they just put some 70s politically incorrect sitcom on instead.....

ITV would have had some medically relevant adverts at the ready

I think they're damned if they do, damned if they don't. That's such a unique situation to deal with. I think you're being a little harsh. Send your complaints to UEFA. I feel like you're flogging the wrong horse.

You can tell it's not the BBC - the pictures we've had have been like the visual we used to see 20 years ago over here. They pick out only the pretty girls in the crowd. UEFA and FIFA tend to operate in a more misogynistic and ignorant way. They always have done. Aim your gun at them next time.

its human behaviour to keep watching. it triggers survival instincts. but you can repeat that a million times and people will still ignore it and be faux outraged.

especially the OP. you moan about bbc but you didnt switch the channel either? why not? maybe because what i say is true.

I do not need the BBC to decide what I am capable of watching. At my time of life I have witnessed far worse as many people have. TV licence refunds in order here. They are happy to show lethal missile strikes in Israel.
Strange priority of broadcasting integrity.
