Careful not to expose your racism. It’s obviously Rio.
Rio.
He’s a compete tw@t, but a RollsRoyce of a defender..
Rio and by some distance.
Glad to see sense prevailing. The contrarian is a Chelsea fan

Pique was pretty damn good Tbf. But Rio out of the two.
A better question would be prime Rio or prime maldini. I’d go Maldini on that one.
Dislike Utd but Rio hands down, isnt even close tbh.

It would make a better debate than this one. Although Maldini was best known as a LB his reading of the game was as good as anyone.
Rio all day. Pique played in some of the best teams ever for club and country but often struggled when actually pressurised.

Rio edges it IMO. He went three seasons without conceding a foul in PL. I cant think of single defender capable of achieving something similar.

I remember him going a long time without a yellow card but surely he didn’t go that long without a foul. If so that’s ridiculous.
I loved Maldini, as VC said his reading of the game was possibly the best I’ve ever seen.
Here’s another controversial one that I’m pretty sure i know how will go, Rio or VVD?

Right now, Rio. You can evaluate them against each other when Van dijk retires.

Rio. Don’t think VVD will ever have the longevity. Will be interesting to see how he returns from injury.

That isn’t close either. VVD hasn’t been at the top of his game long enough.
When it comes to Rio vs VVD surely it's about their primes as the original question was so forget longevity.
It's a good contest, VVD edges it for me
