Jose was sacked on April 19th.
I'm sure that was more than 36 days ago.
You've had an absolute mare here, 36 days............
goes to show how most people just jump to the comments after reading the article title and first sentence
The media scrutiny is rightly on us. We want to be thought of as a "massive club". We invested in the infrastructure, we hired a "Hollywood" manager in Mourinho. His first press conference wasn't it over subscribed and lots of journalists were turned away as there was no space in the conference room. The interest and media focus was unprecedented.
But as we are acting like a amateur outfit right now the media are loving it as they can write 3 stories for 1 and know that people will read it.
Talk the talk, walk the walk.
We are an absolute shambles of a club, and Levy is to blame.
It's an absolute joke what is happening at Spurs currently. Their loyal support are rightly fuming at the total mismanagement of the club from top to bottom.

Oh okay, so now it's 36 days instead, ignoring the 2.5 months it's actually been in terms of the process of sounding out potential replacements, are you honestly trying to massage the figures to make the club look better?
Whether it's 36 days or 2.5 months, the way the club has operated over that time has been appalling. No clear strategy, offering the job to candidates on different ends of the managerial spectrum, changing minds, appointing a Sporting Director that clearly has a preferred way of playing which is completely at odds with the hierarchy.
I mean, I could go on. 36 days? 2.5 months? It's semantics. Meaningless analysis. You can't dress this one up as anything other than what it is - an utter omnishambles.

None at all...he didn't manage anything...just sat in the dug out. They could be right...but then why do some want him as an alternative if he didn't manage the team??

Don’t let your distaste for the media detract from the reality that the club is an absolute shambles. It’s been 70 odd days since we had a permanent manager, Mason was interim and that was clear from the second he was appointed. The club have allowed things to descend into a farce instead of a having a clear vision and contingencies. I wish fans would stop trying to let the club off the hook, they deserve all the flak they get.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And just to be clear this isn’t just about the joke of a manager situation, this is about two years worth of incompetent decision making that has seen us regress from being a team that was competitive in the top 3 of the league and the CL, with rivals giving us begrudging respect for our coach, team and off field growth, to us being in the EL Conference with a squad that is shot to bits and us being the laughing stock of English football for or off field farces. Memes and WhatsApp jokes is all we’re good for now. Cheers Levy you prik.

Explain it to me then, you pointed out that Mason is only an interim manager.
It is obvious that Martinez or Southgate will be our next manager. The only reason that it has not happened is because it would not be respectful to announce it before the Euros ends.
Everything that you are reading now is the collusion between the click bait media and the bookies that are trying to reel in mugs to bet on the wrong manager taking the job. They must have made a bomb out of these gambling mugs!
OP
Martinez is 100 per cent the new incoming manager, and he is doing a brilliant job with the Belgium side. He has a defence with three 34 year plus players in it, playing out of their skin and being so organised.
Martinez will be a great manager for Spurs. And will be announced after the Euros.

This is a lot of those guys last tournament, and they have played together for years too, so of course they're going to put everything into every game, in a tournament. Spurs are a totally different ball game.

Like all other Spurs managers, he will get my backing. I want Paratici to get some deadwood of our books sharpish. We might not be able to buy players till the new manager comes but we can sell players in the last year of their contracts.

Thank you Hercules. Can't see this happening now.
Sandy, care to divulge where this info came from? I only ask as I'm pretty sure I've heard you criticise ITKs before. This makes you no better than them.
When you first mentioned this you said that he was approached way, way back and that they held back the announcement so as not to disrupt Belgian plans for the Euros. So you're suggesting that the Poch, Conte, Fonseca and Gattuso rumours (each were absolutely nailed on at one point or another) were nothing more than press fodder? Sorry but that makes zero sense. Every reputable source within the media, including Alisdair Gold, considered the club's mouthpiece, were calling it when these names were close. I just don't buy it. We look like a laughing stock so if there wasn't a shred of truth there, we'd have been on this to save face.
We'll get someone in and pretend they were always first choice as a PR exercise but that's just not true. That maybe or may not be Martinez but the fact that your so called contact tells you that it was RM all along, is a stretch of the imagination too far, even for this story.
