What I will say in Pogbas defence this time having watched the replay in slow mo a few times is that this was an effing good tackle on him instead of him losing the ball by messing about with it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yep, agree absolutely, and a very important qualification, especially for those who have already filed it away in their "pogba dispossessed when faffing around" folder.
it was a poor pass to him in the first place (no idea why benzema made it at all, he needlessly played the ball back into trouble), and a good tackle...just as pogba's tackle that led to france's second goal, conveniently forgotten by the "he's awful off the ball" crew, was also a good tackle.

feel free to post all those times he was awful off the ball last night then.
because i can post quite a few instances for kante - including on that equalising goal - but for some reason posters like you are desperate to pin 95% of the blame for that goal on pogba.
but as vc says, if you actually watch that moment, pogba himself is barely to blame at all...i could take you through it frame by frame, but feel free to watch and rewatch it yourself, and see whether you attach most blame to benzema, pogba, kante, or kimpembe:

Looking at that again, I’d say Benzema and Pogba. Benzema could have released it to the right but when he takes it under control, he then only has the one option to pass it back to Pogba. He’s got time before the three in front get to him but for some reason turns into trouble. The consequence is he’s lost the ball whilst the defence is during transition and there’s huge gaps. Kante is trying to track three different runners as well.
That’s why Pavard has the reaction he does.
Pogba was fantastic last night but you always know he's going to dilly dally on the ball longer than he should and lose it in a dangerous stage of play.
Low and behold, he did, and paid the price yet again.
Seen it time and time again for United.
Yes it was schoolboy from kimpempe, but he was 1on1 with the attacker after one ball from xhaka took out half the team.
Why did it take out half the team? Because pogba lost it in a dangerous position and the French midfield were in no man's land.
I want to like pogba but honestly how often does he do stuff like this?
Far too often.
He plays amazing and then ruins it with cataclysmic errors like yesterday evening.
He didn't look switched on towards the end, or he looked tired, either one of them.
Swiss desperately needed a goal so of course they're going to be hounding the French in packs to retrieve the ball, this is exactly what pogba hates, and he fell victim to it again.

Bruno loses the ball more than any other playsr bar Rashford. However what he has done in 16 months trumps the 5 yrs Pogba has been here hands down. Pogba has his faults and nobody can tell me he has justified his price tag or been consistently brilliant because he hasn't. Has absolutely feck all to do with how he gets treated differently

As per ususual making excuses for Pogba. Has there ever been as many excuses for performances for one single player. Oh he is played out of posituon. Oh he is not playing with the right personnel blah blah. Fact is he has been inconsistent in a United shirt and Bruno has outshone him in 18 mpnths. Fact. Now get over your little Pogba fan girl routine. Shut the feck up and move on and hope that he improves and actually becomes yhe player we have all hoped since 2016 ey

He was the last French player to touch the ball. It was his mistake ffs. Typical Pogba momey. Get your tongue from up his backside.
If you go crazy over the wonderful things he did you also have to admit when he gets it wrong. It was a costly error in the last minute of a tense and tight game. Something he isn't unknown for though.

Blamed for that goal for lost possession half way up the field. Christ.
