He will go. I think it will be 130 million. Harry’s had enough of levy’s lack of ambition and wants to win things. Can’t say I blame him. I wish spurs wanted to win things.

You're welcome to keep him.

As a fellow Spurs fan, can you explain to me this “glittering career”?

posted on 2/7/21

I've said all along Kane won't go this summer and I stand by that.

LOL, haven`t you read the article Smeg, it clearly says Daniel Levy will not entertain anything under £150 million. He has absolutely nailed on to still be at Spurs next season.

He'll go next summer for 80-100m

“In the grand scheme of things Spurs will always be a better and bigger club than chequebook city”

Generally curious and interested as to what this means - last time I checked before the Abu Dhabi takeover Manchester City had won as many league titles as Tottenham, had European trophies and were one of the storied and grand old names of English football. Beyond the whole nonsense debate about which club is bigger than the other and which has a greater more authentic history, does being owned by Billionaires automatically mean you are no longer a big club? I’m slightly confused by this. Actually I’m not, but still curious as to what metrics and value judgments you are using here.

After winning multiple trophies with Spurs next season, he will definitely want to stay to win some more.

Spurs never played in the 3rd division to my knowledge, that alone makes Spurs a far bigger club.
Also they had also won less European Trophies, still have, less FA Cups, still have, and before the lottery won less League Cups. I will give you they had won the same amount of titles pre Lottery win, but as I said in the Grand Scheme of things, Spurs have been far and away the more successful of the two sides.

I've said on numerous posts that he wouldn't go this close season because Daniel Levy would want top dollar for him, which his suitors won't want to pay. After another season of wining nothing with Spurs, this site will be full of is he going once more. The discussion then will be who is going to pay 130-150 million for a 29 year old striker.

Out of interest which of these clubs would you consider bigger?

A) 7 League titles, 1 FA Cup.

B) 1 League Title, 9 FA Cups.

C) 10 League titles, 6 FA Cups but have played in the third tier of English football?

What happened a generation ago is irrelevant. Yes City were in the 3rd tier and are now at the top of the domestic tree, Spurs have gone from being just behind the top teams (with a couple of exceptions) to being just behind the top teams, and will in the forseeable future be, yes, just behind the top teams, winning the odd knock out trophy along the way.

City have spent more seasons in the top flight than Spurs.

How does the that figure in your dickswinging metric?

Some even believed that Roberto Martinez to Spurs was a done deal. Signed, sealed and delivered apparently.

So they should have won lots more trophies before the lottery win then. That they didn`t shows they were not that great.

So if ENIC sell out to a rich consortium, it could only be regarded as a ‘lottery win’?

Better stick with what you’ve got then

Kane's form in the Euros isn't exactly going to get the chequebooks flying open will it? Sterling has kept England in it, despite a pretty woeful end to the season with City. If Mbappe (who also had a woeful Euros) is £150m as rumoured and is younger, less injury prone and probably better, Kane is not going for anywhere near that so Spurs will keep him for another trophyless season until Nuno can bring in a replacement from Benfica.

It cannot get messy. Kane is under contract. It will not be done to him. Only Daniel Levy can decide. If he wanted to he could hold Kane to the three years left on his contract. You do know that when you sign a contract it is binding.

You can hardly judge a player on a two or three games of the Euros. Plenty of the better players don`t always turn up in International Competitions. How many stella world cups has Messi had. Doesn`t make him a poorer play though.

Everyone knows Kane is one of the world`s top goalscorers, even if he has an awful Euros.
