Against a ageing defence his pace with Sterling will be the way to go in the final.
He's done well, but think I'd rather Foden in the final.

I hope he doesn’t, Sancho is the superior player.

Just.
Lol
Sterling and Saka behind Kane.
Southgate will probably go 5-3-2 with Trippier and Henderson coming in for Mount and Saka.

Makes no difference what they think,Southgate thinks he is though hence him playing ahead of Sancho.

It’s nit even a discussion tbh.
Tonight’s subs speak volumes.
Sancho showed he’s not at the heights the hype has put him at yet.
Maybe he’ll get there, maybe he won’t.
Saka is the superior player by far at the moment.
It really isn’t close.
I hope he doesn’t, Sancho is the superior player.

Sancho had his chance in the last game he did ok but there was nothing in his performance to say he deserves a place in the starting lineup ahead of anyone else. Let's see what Sancho does in the PL don't think he will be as good as most people think. I don't think get will get the numbers he's got in the Bundesliga which is a less competitive league than the Premier League.
Idk what Southgate’s gripe with Sancho is. He really doesn’t seem to rate him.
Whether Saka is better or not doesn’t really matter. He runs at defenders, creates something out of nothing, and covers ridiculous amount of ground on the pitch. The perfect foil for Sterling and especially Kane who he seems to have a good understanding with. And after 60/70 mins Grealish can pick up the scraps and punish a tiring defence

Sancho is not playing against Italy. If it’s not Saka it will be Foden or Grealish
Saka has really impressed me, I would probably start him against Italy because he really hasn’t put a foot wrong. I would say Sancho is better going forward but Saka provides a bit more defensive grit.
I think Saka would smash the Bundesliga , Sancho has done well in a weak league dominated by one team. Saka has been top notch in a poor arsenal team which speaks volumes.
Saka looks great, there's nothing wrong with just getting your head down and running at the other team, it causes disruption and creates openings.
I've got to say Sancho looks better at doing that though, and he picks a pass better.
I'd play Saka on Sunday though, as we'll need someone prepared to track back and put a foot in, and I don't think Sancho does that.

Both great players with Great futures. We are lucky.
Southgate likes to be safe and go with those best defensively.
It's all well and good going on about how good Sancho has been in the bundesliga, but he hasn't exactly pulled up any trees in the CL and unlike Saka, has no PL experience because he hasn't actually played for Man Utd yet. He also hasn't replicated his bundesliga form for England either.
Saka has been the better player for England and deserves his place in the team.
Hasn’t pulled up any trees in the cl? I don’t have a dog in this fight but that’s nonsense and saka hasn’t even played in the cl.
Sancho at the age of 21 has 5 goals and 6 assists in 16 cl games. Very impressive.
Saka is very intelligent. Thats something his teammates don't have. He makes unselfish runs, he closes down angles, and is very aware of his teammates under extreme pressure and close marking. Southgate sees a bit of himself (intelligence) in Saka for that reason. Saka can play as a no.10 or wide or defence as the play dictates. Thats vital when he rotates with Sterling and Kane.
I thought he was poor today bar last bit of first half
Hope he starts to as he doesn't have much off days but think after that performance southgate may sub him instead
The entire team looked nervous in the first half. Denmark dominated after Pickford started making mistakes and Denmark pushed up on Declan Rice.
Saka was the one who turned it around. As soon as Kane started dropping deep on his side rather than Sterlings'. That allowed Sterling to have more space as Denmark were drawn to the interplay between Kane and Saka. Whats amazing that they still cut through them despite extra defenders.
To end this tedious debate, it's not Saka v Sancho for a starting place, it's Sterling v Sancho. Saka gets swapped out for a creative midfielder like Grealish because Saka is the only winger who can do what a creative midfielder can to the extent he can, including defensively. Sancho and Sterling are the focal points of an attack.
