Watching the match yesterday, he was playing as a midfielder, hanging around the middle line and passing to the wingers. He is a striker.
4 goals despite being awful - the guy will break all the England goals records with ease.

If true, that's so narrow minded and sad.
I have been a big fan of Saka during this tournament and I want to see him continue to excel.
Can't stand the guy when he's playing for Spurs, his record against us is ridiculous.
However when he's on form I can appreciate that the guy is world class.
It is weird the agenda against him on this site. Not something I see in real life. He's a national hero, world class striker and a fine upstanding man to boot.

Yep, I’ve loved watching Saka despite him being a Gooner, he is a great little player. When they are in the England shirt I don’t care which club side they play for.
He was superb last night as were the whole team. All of them play for Southgate and have brought into his philosophy. As for Kane, a true leader and an inspiration. One of our own!
Anyone else think that if De Bruyne had played that throughball through to Saka for the first goal, we'd be hearing a lot more about it?

Kane is one of the best centre forwards around and yet Shiek Mansour believes he can tap him up and make insulting bids to Spurs for his services. Spendiola has even been out in the media pleading poverty, as if anybody believes that, they are worth around 320 billion.
Make no mistake, there will be some pathetic fans of rival clubs out there hoping England lose the final, because they won`t want Kane captaining England to a tournament win and lifting the trophy.

He's playing in a system that does not necessarily play to his strengths. We do not get too many high crosses into the box, our attack is slower possession based rather than quick counter. It plays more to his creative side as one who can drop deep and have the pacey wide players run beyond him - like our first goal.
For this reason he hasn't shone as a striker but he has been a real team player and while may be not our stand out performer he has been absolutely essential to our system and our success where the likes of Rashford or DCL simply do not have the qualities to play this role.
