In the race for top 4.
A domestic cup final.
A last 16 in Champs League
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That equals success?
😂
Do we win the cup final?!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The OP asked how we think the season will go
Considering the sheer amount of games most players at the Euros have had to play in the last twelve months, I'm not that sure that any of them are up to providing any team with superb football.
Most have not had a break from playing in over 14 months. Some are waiting on urgent surgery.
They must be running on empty, so I'm not anticipating a stunner season - from anybody.
at the moment with just sancho added in the squad as a direct replacement for James/Greenwood I presume, I cant see us doing much better than last season in the PL or the CL.
Still need a couple or more stella signings to knock City of their perch and to keep up with Liverpool and Chelsea no doubt. Maybe an attacking right wing back to shake up AWB and a decent ball playing centrehalf to supplement Linderlof and to give Ole confidence to ditch the McFred pivot. Be interesting to see if Pogba stays or goes and gives Donny his chance.
So will wait and see what backing Ole will get from the owners over the next few weeks. This is the season that Ole will be judged... but if he ain,t backed he will be a dead man walking.
Every sensible United fan realises this.

Just like Pep is adequately backed by the berties.
Well he has been backed then, to the tune of £75m.

There's no context to that statement. If £75m for Sancho makes the team as good as, or better than city's then you're right, he has been backed and any difference will be down to how he managed them.
If it doesn't (like in the real world) then he hasn't. We're not strong enough in other key areas to compete, so in effect pre-packed for Ole to fail (if not winning the league is how people class failure).

RDD and his endless reply by questions.
I have just specifically explained what we tools we require in my previous post of which you read.
let be more specific.
A decent rigt winger. Check.
A decend right wing back. Not yet
A decent CB to parter Slabhed. Not Yet
Sort out the midfield so we dont have to play 2 x No6s against the likes of Brentford. Sell and replace Pogba or get him on a new contractand play him in a more advanced central role. Get Donny working or sell him. Not yet.
Sort out the GK situation for a No1 and a No2. Not yet.
Find a new CF role for Mason Greenwood to support Cavani. And/or sell Martial.Long term get a decent CF to replace Cavani at tthe end of the season. Not yet
Get Rashford fit again and play him on the left side in front of Shaw. Not yet.

No, however id consider him a failure if after 4 seasons he hasn't won a cup and we still have major deficiencies within the squad (CB, CM, CF)
