5th.

Top 4 will be out of reach unless their is a disaster season from one of them.

Liverpool will be stronger with the injuries over and new CB but need to replace Wijnaldum.
City slightly weaker until they get a striker.
Chelsea are on the rise and if they get a finisher are in the title race with the two above.

United not quite title race material but should be clear in the top 4.

Quite a gap.

Then Spurs / Leicester / Arsenal

Another gap

Leeds / West Ham / Everton / Villa

Spurs could win their tier and finish 5th imo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was about to write the same thing with a few slight differences. City and Chelsea for me are the two that will be scrapping for the Prem next year. They're both on another level right now, regardless of City's current lack of striker. Then there's Liverpool as you say that have all their stronger players back and United with Sancho and Varane amongst probably even more incomings.

As far as I see it, qualifying for the CL is now harder than it's ever been. Best of the rest is all we can hope for. We are no longer in that bracket. I doubt we'll even get a mention. Nuno will have had a good season if he finishes above Leicester.

We've regressed whilst others have pushed on. That's the reality. You can argue that had we not dropped points last year we could have been in with a shout. Sure. But that was a crippled Liverpool, an indifferent Chelsea and an inconsistent United.

I actually fancy Chelsea to get it this year. They have a mental hold over City now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So do I. Chelsea always spend to win titles and trophies. They don’t often go long without winning a premier league title. I can see a big title between City, Chelsea, United and Liverpool. All 4 are on a level above Spurs and with new signings, even more so. Spurs have got no chance of making the top 4
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Completely agree with all of the above, I've said it on here before. The chances of us breaking into the top four in 21/22 are extremely slim.

This time next year though, things may look a lot different:

- This may be Pep's last year
- If Ole doesn't win a trophy, he may be out the door
- Can't see it, but if Tuchel goes through a bad period of form, Roman has been known to pull the plug quickly
- Who knows how long Klopp has left?
- If Leicester have a dip this season, will Rodgers be staying or will he have taken them as far as he can?
- If Arsenal don't start well, will Arteta still be there?
- The Europa is bound to affect West Ham's form - could Moyes survive a run of the mill league season?

So IMO we should be preparing for 22/23. No point signing 28 year old Sabitzer or Vestegaard - bring in fresh young blood for Nuno to coach this season, along with the likes of Skipp and Sess etc. Begin to revamp the defence, and before you know it things could be looking up. Everything in cycles and all that.

Son looks very happy to be back

Defo thinking "Still no new signings, Harry Kane don't want to be here, Harry Winks is still here, McDombele is probably eating a Big Mac with Eric Diet, we could have had Conti, who is this new DoF? Levy is a kent"

You can see this on his face and body language if you look carefully..

In all seriousness I would expect Spurs to be challenging for a top four spot in what is a very poor Prem. Even last season which was supposed to be a complete disaster, Spurs finished just a few points of top four.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you don't reckon we'll win the league this year?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Could do, nothing is impossible. Leicester won it, so no reason why Spurs cannot. Highly unlikely though with the financially doped clubs piling in more and more cash. Top Four and a trophy would do me. I have seen Spurs win the league.

Cannot write anything off completely though, Wigan won the FA Cup, Leicester won a Prem.

Chelsea had some shocking results last year, and at the end of the day, despite spending close to £200 million barely scraped top four. I don`t think they are that great, despite them winning the CL.

Of course he is, he is just going through Summertime Blues. He will be back on board after Spurs beat City first game of the season, with Aurier and Sanchez scoring.
