Pep “ I can’t afford a striker” lol
PSG and City taking the pi*s out of a Covid hit world to claim oil state dominance

Yeah pretty much confirms them the league title again. You can't guarantee a CL title ever because on the day anything can go wrong in a cup tie however you'd make them the favs to win it.

Oil / state funded clubs will be the death of football. I said it 10-12 years ago before the dominance even started too. You knew it was coming.

If Chelsea get Haaland I fancy them to run City very close. And if City get Kane I imagine Chelsea will find that extra motivation to buy Haaland.

Saying this as a United fan that has for decades blown everybody out of the water with wages and transfer fees is a little hypocritical.

Yes it's self made which is admirable but let's not pretend you're all about a level financial playing field.

They said
Bye bye Mr Harry Kane guy
Said to Levy my mind's heavy while the trophies run dry
That good old boy was thinking city could buy
Him a way to get that winning high

Think this would be the first mega signing City would have ever made.

Even with Haaland I think Chelsea would find it hard to run City close.

I think Chelsea’s only weakness is at CF. Kane and Haaland at those two clubs would certainly guarantee one of them being champions and probably both getting 90+ points

There’s a weakness in that they lack goals from other areas of the pitch, though. Kane likely has City back to a level where they can get 90 odd points, they’ve got proven consistency in the league. I’m not sure Haaland does that for Chelsea, I don’t think you can simply extrapolate their form for half a season under Tuchel, the jump is so big for them given their lack of proven consistency in the league with this squad.

We’ll see. Either way, we ain’t up there 😿

Did United really blow everyone else out of the water for decades?

Unfortunately not. City being so far ahead isn’t even the thing that would piiiiiss me off the most, it’s seeing Kane in their shirt whilst they do it.

Not a great fan of Kane myself. Let’s hope this is one of those that doesn’t work out.

Football doesn’t always work that way Robb. We have seen it many times before.

We would beat the plsh out of every single team in this league with Haaland mate wtf

Him diving all day will probably slow down City's fluidity

He scored some goals granted but I felt like he didn’t really fit with two inverted forwards, ironically one who he would line up with, in general play.

Not sure Pep has ever favored an out and out 9 either

Its not up to Chelsea, Dortmund ain't selling after they sold Sancho.

If the Sun is reporting it, then 100 per cent Levy will not have budged. More made up tabloid nonsense I suspect. Do they ever post anything even close to the truth. Only the gullible believe anything The Sun, Talkshitte, Sky churn out.

If it’s £160m then I suspect we will sell, it’s just too good to turn down in this market for a world class, yet injury prone 28 year old.

Along with other sales it will give us £200m + to revamp the team and strengthen in most positions. We won’t be able to replace his goals, although Ings could 3 quarters of what he got, but we could start conceding far less if the CB targets are true.

I think this one has legs, £100m was laughable but this is more realistic

You answered your own response there. Self made.
Same reason if I started a fuzzy drinks company I wouldn't be able to compete with Coke and Pepsi.

Oil / state funded clubs have made a mockery of the game really.
