City
I’d love their money, planning and success

Is there any real point though in having so much money you can just blow all opposition out of the water to win trophies? No real kudos in that at all.

United seem to be demonstrating that you can outspend everyone and not win anything.

Pretending it's just about money is either lazy, being in denial or just indicates you have no idea what makes a club successful.

Money certainly isn't the only answer, you only have to look at United's lack of recent success despite spending a lot, and the way Spurs won nothing following the sale of Bale and spending the millions that got them. It needs a plan and good management as well as a board that are interested in success not just taking a profit out of the club to fund shopping malls or superyachts for tax dodgers.

“ Liverpool: some fans wanted Klopp sacked before and after champs league triumph ”

Don’t see how ‘some fans’, really it was one of two idiots on here, define the ideal/model of our club in the same you do with City, United et al

Sandy just ignores reality so he can spout his version of the truth. Spurs owners won't invest as they know it will be money wasted as the plan to win something just isn't there. It is why Kane wants out and will eventually get his move to a club with ambition and where he can play with better players and learn from better coaches.

LOL, it is 100 per cent about the money, for the 35 years prior to the oil money City had won precisely 1 league cup, and the third division play off.

But, but, it`s not about the money.

Spurs didn`t spend a billion, like City have. Big difference fella, but you are to dopey to notice.

I don't think you've taken his comment in the way it was intended. Yes, of course some amount of money is needed, usually a large amount if you want to compete at the very top of the game, but it's not about how much you have, but how well you spend the amount you have. That will bring you success. Of course you need a good backing and infrastructure, but you don't need to have City, Chelsea or United money to be successful.

For example, Atalanta have (or had) a wage bill that was not too dissimilar to some Championship sides (about £350k p/w at one point, likely to have changed) but yet they are now a solid Champions League outfit and are improving fast.

Yes you can have the odd season, or as Spurs have shown you can compete to a certain extent, four successive seasons of CL, a CL final and a couple of domestic finals. But for absolutely guaranteed success then you need the kind of money City and Chelsea have.

Those that say the amount of money both Chelsea and City have is not making a difference are living in cloud cuckoo land.

Money makes money.

Surely your tax dodging owner knows that after crippling the UK economy back in the 90s with his Black Thursday stunt.

However, the fact he isn't willing to invest in Spurs is nobody else's fault.

Laying the blame on City or Chelsea is just an easy get out.

Just like City were never winning the league without an obcene amount of money being injected into the club. I'm not saying it's bad necessarily, but to deny it is very strange.

We were owned by the owners of JD Sports, both City fans who kept the club in good fiscal order but were honest enough to admit they could never break the galss ceiling created by the Sky 4 without major investment.

No ones in denial about that.

Problem is that people like Sandy kid themselves that the first 90 years of existence was spent in the 3rd Division whilst being in denial that we have won all the domestic trophies and triumphed in Europe since Spurs last won the league and long before the takeover.

City, small club that won the lottery. Small clubs play in the third division.

learn you history you senile old fart.

Sandy is genuinely complicit to the failures of his club.

He's a dream fan for parasite owners.

Sandy being too dopey to notice how Spurs have failed every season to put together a plan for success. Beyond parody.
