Given that city are already very good playing the system they do, Grealish actually makes perfect sense for them.
Pep loves to rotate, so theoretically players will stay fresh for longer into the season, and any injuries just mean a like for like swap with no drop in quality. He likes consistency of approach as well; when he bought Ibrahimovic for Barcelona it didn't work out as neither could get their head around how to play him in their system.
I think it's very shrewd business if they get him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Grealish doesn't improve them to the tune of £100 million though. Is he better than KDB, Bernardo, Foden etc? No...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They've got the money, so why not?
Fergie always used to buy from a position of strength, they're just doing that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If they get him it'll be like when we got Berbatov, or Liverpool got Robbie Keane. Funnily enough they both happened in the same window I think and neither of them worked properly because they weren't needed. Berba only worked when Tevez and Ronaldo left...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't see it as like Berbatov at all. He brought something very different to United and didn't immediately fit our style. Grealish is, as every one keeps saying, an almost perfect fit for the way they play and will give them awesome strength in depth in that area.
Hope hope this doesn't bother you Culer, but I think you're lying.

We didn't need Berbatov though. We had Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez. Even Saha in 07-08 was effective enough for us.
City don't need Grealish... KDB is better. Foden is better. Sterling is better. Bernardo is better.

It'd be a great day for football in this country if he tells Lottery FC and Pep to do one. Only last year he signed a 5 year contract because he believed in the project NSWE are putting together. Ambitious and with a clear direction for the club. That is being fulfilled with the players being bought in. We're assembling a fantastic squad to compete this season for Europe.
NSWE have been stellar from day one and I have every trust in them.

Why are NSWE great?

Because they are really focused on the direction they are taking the club in.
Cheers Barry, I thought they were just a bunch of foreign Billionaires pumping money into an English football club to which they have no previous connection

Bit rich coming from a Villa fan.
NSWE have already burnt through half a billion quid in transfer fees and wages within 3 years of taking over. With less than £20m coming in through player sales over the same period.
Running up back-to-back £100m+ annual deficits in the process.
Not even City were this blatant.
At this point, Villa will have to sell a Grealish-level player for a bumper fee to avoid running afoul of FFP.
Lol the only way Grealish doesn’t go to City is if they don’t pay the transfer fee

Well he knows a bit about comics I heard ….
It's was plain to see when villa got Buendia that they were spending the grealish money
He needs to stick to his secret footballer sock account for inventing inside knowledge. Leave the Culer character for big business and children's books.

Strangest snub in the history of snubbery
One of my good mates is a huge Villa fan who knows an immediate member of Jack Grealish's family. Anyway according to my mate, Grealish's family member has told him that Jack Grealish won't be going anywhere and will reject the chance to join City. Also the reason why the Bailey deal was suddenly pushed through and J.W.P is being sought out from Saints is to show Grealish that Villa are ambitious enough to compete.
My mate does know his family member so this is likely to be true IMO.
Grealish stays.
