Actually think it’s a joke, final years of his career and he ducks the PL for the damn French league
What a mug
The arrogance of some people
He can play where he wants. Why don’t you go and do your job in a different country or are you too scared?
It’s the equivalent of him saying he’d rather work for the #100 ranked company instead of the #1 ranked company
It’s weak and pathetic, then again he has looked disinterested and not hungry for the last 2-3 years and he looks like he just wants to cash a paycheque and doesn’t even bother putting max effort in on the pitch
So maybe PSG suits him to the ground
That’s pretty much the main difference
Messi is naturally better than Ronaldo
But Ronaldo’s work ethic ambition hunger and desire is on a whole nuva level
Why do you care so much?
If I was worth that much I wouldn't even bother to carry on playing. Probably just buy a blimp and a shed load of coke and see where I end up

Agree
Totally agree, he's weaksauce just like so many stiff-upper-lippers who are scared of British atmospheric physics and joins the fackin French and Spaniards when they get too old for their jobs like Messi.
I have more respect for the likes of Rooney and Gerrard, purely because they've proven themselves to be able to survive all those cold wet nights at multiple metereologically challenged places like Stoke, Liverpool and Manchester.
Totally agree Messi doesn't need the money nor additional glory, should have just retired as he got nothing left to prove...

Is Serie A that much better than Ligue Un? At least the French league has provided 2 sides who made the CL semis and finals in the last couple of seasons. He’s going to PSG to try and win the CL, not to take an easier path.

Messi is just a victim of his good he is in the sense that PSG is really one of the only clubs that can afford him.
No you’re a mug scared of Messi. Who btw won’t be joining City. Harry Kane next?
The irony is that the OP is too scared to say any of this to his face, out from behind the safety of his keyboard.
£500k tax paid a week might have had something to do with it. Why not line his pockets whilst he can? Wouldn’t you?
He can now wind down to his retirement in two years time.
Guy doesn't need to prove anything to anybody. The majority of football fans will always see him as better than Ronaldo where ever both of them play.
I'd do the same in his position. Prove I'm what everybody already knows I am? Or hang out with one of my mates for a few years? Easy choice tbh.
Messi Messi Messi Messiiiiiii
Must agree with the Devil.
Thing is if you’re the supposed GOAT or want to be the GOAT of this era and cement your legacy why would you not want to prove it by tearing up the PL for a couple years?
Might as well have just gone back to newell old boys if he wanted to effectively retire
Has anyone seen the PSG squad?
He'll be in a front line including Neymar and Mbappe Arguably the best in world football.

Neymar only scored 17 goals in all competitions last year in 31 appearances. Not bad, but hardly tearing things up. Only 58 appearances over 2 years, only 36 goals.
Messi is a one trick pony in a two/three team league

He's still one of the best players in the world. And good friends with Messi too.
At 34 hard to criticise whatever side he chose, as has nothing left to prove.
