Haha yeah you are right Sandy, when you put it like that it is ridiculous that Kane is not ready for the start of the season.
I think he started training on Saturday so it would be a week by the time of match day.
I agree that I would not expect him to start but in normal circumstances I would expect to see him on the bench.

There is rumors that he might be open to sign another contract.
Probably add 100k to his salary.

That could be good news. See his time out at Spurs.

You never know in football mate. Maybe Kane realises he has kicked up a stink out of nothing, and now wants to just knuckle down and play football. He seems a very level headed fella, so may think trying to strop his way out will not be worth it in the long run. And also Daniel Levy I assume can be very persuasive, and offer a few more quid, and Kane stays.
Hope he does stay at Spurs.

It would be nice to stick to fingers up at the media who have been selling Kane for us for months now. How many times did ITV mention it on the Charity Shield coverage the other day....so annoying
If trophies won’t at the major clubs meant less or nothing, why do players not stay at their “boyhood clubs”?
Players want trophies no matter where they win them
Also the only way Kane is not in the squad on the weekend is if he’s injured or off to City.
A half fit Kane is better to throw on with 10 to go than…. Than what? We’re not exactly loaded in the forward position….

Money in the modern game. Back in the day, players very often stayed at one club their whole career, trophies or not.
George Cohen, world cup winner is an example, never won a bean with Fulham. But won the world cup with England.
Trophies thing is a lie...they can go to lesser leagues and win trophies.
They just want the highest pay, the glamour of champs league is a bonus.
If ENIC do not spend in this window to match Kane`s ambition, then they never will.
Most of the clubs in Europe (excluding the PL) are skint and it is a buyers market at the moment, there are bargains to be had left right and centre.
The PL has been the least affected by the pandemic, and the English clubs can take advantage of other clubs financial problems.
Spurs are handily placed to really pick up some top players at decent money, along with some creative accounting (Romero) etc. ENIC should be taking a slight risk and pushing the boat out in this window, and then reigning things in as things pick back up.

Silly article, Sandy.
Absolutely nothing in it about the player himself, how he feels, what he wants to do.
Kane has to be looking at his career and wondering what his legacy will be as a player.
Is he good enough to be an all time great?
If so, how does he achieve that?
By staying at Tottenham, under the shadows of ENIC?
Or moving to a better squad?
Seeing England go down to mismanaged penalty kicks must have been the final straw for Kane.
If he plays out his days at Tottenham, what will he be? A faithful player from boy to old man who won nothing, perhaps?
And did nothing great?
I do not pretend to know what Kane is thinking,...with two or three years left as a top flight player.
But what I do know is that he has done his best for this club, and it is time for him to think more about what he wants to do.
He has my support, whatever he does.

Couldn't agree less. Kane doesn't and will never have my support to leave. Understanding why he wants to leave is different from supporting his departure. Kane has played some of his worst games in finals. Can't keep blaming the team. We win together and lose together. The fact we haven't won silverware has been down to poor selections and one of our heroes choosing finals to have off days.

Why on earth would you want to see him stay?
And you do not think the quality of the squad and Levy's not bringing in any players some years, has nothing to do with it?
How about Kane signs a new 6 year long contract on the basis he can on loan to City for two seasons with a view to a third year extension. Win as many medals as he can and then return home in two to three years time.

100 per cent agre, that Spurs have not won anything is as much down to Kane going missing in semis and finals, same with England.
Ted as usual putting Kane and his personal glory before anything that may benefit Spurs. What Kane wants to do should not even come into it. He plays for Spurs, not for himself.
The club must always come first, not any one player. I personally could not give two hoots about Kane and his personal ambitions. Football is a team game, and individual glory should not even come into it.
I actually hope he goes. Sick and tired of him batting his eyelids at so called bigger clubs ever transfer window. Let’s mug City off for as much money as possible and buy some proper team players that want to play for spurs. They might even turn up in a final or two.

Seems like you will be happy to see Kane leave then, since he "plays his worst games in finals"?
Why on earth would you want to see him stay?
And you do not think the quality of the squad and Levy's not bringing in any players some years, has nothing to do with it?

How about Kane signs a new 6 year long contract on the basis he can on loan to City for two seasons with a view to a third year extension. Win as many medals as he can and then return home in two to three years time.

As long as he has the "gentleman's agreement" in writing.....he should be okay!
Will Levy do that?......

Sandy does not give two hoots, as usual.
"Football is a team game",..
Oh boy, what 6 year old doesn't know that?
" and individual glory should not even come into it."
Nor team glory either!!
And players aren't human beings, like you and me.
They're just names on the team name sheet.
Sandy...you are an inhuman dumbass!!
