Can't really say i know enough about American politics to form a well informed opinion. All I will say is that the main reason he was voted in was clearly 1because his name is not Donald Trump - I suspect Bubbles the chimp would also have won that election for the same reason.
As I said I don't really know the ins and outs of what's going in America, but all the rest of the world really has to judge him on right now is Afghanistan, and despite the wheels being set in motion by Trump he hasn't handled it well

Not strictly true. I’ve seen many people over the past few months in the media state that by giving a solid withdrawal date that it was obvious the Taliban would make their move and it would be pretty easy to do so. The issue is that Trump started the ball rolling by lessening troop numbers to such a state by now that even if Biden wanted to change his mind it was too late. So it is mainly Trumps fault, what Biden is doing wrong is seemingly doubling down on his view that this process needs to be happening at the speed it is.
Thoughts on Biden? What a disaster...has just not suitable to be president, is he compos mentis??

I don't follow US politics closely, but if there isn't anyone better, then good luck.
Maybe you have the same problem as here, where there's no proper leadership from the government or its opposition.
People gravitate towards leadership. If this isn't provided by those in charge, they'll look elsewhere—which is what we've seen by the increase in following crazy movements.
